Review: NYC All Day Long Smooth Skin Foundation

Hey everyone!
Today I'm going to review the foundation I've been using recently. It's a very cheepie foundation, and I bought mine in Gran Canaria in July 2013. I've had it for a year so I'm not trying to use it up and I ended up falling in love!

The NYC All Day Long Smooth Skin Foundation is a long wearing foundation that claims to last up to 14 hours. I have to say I've worn mine long than that and even then it's hanging in there. I usually put on my makeup around 7-7.30am and I wear it until I go to bed around 11pm.

This is what my face looked like this morning. Here I have on the NYC foundation as well as face primer, powder, blush, bronzer and highlighter.

Apart from the foundation it self I love the packaging! It has a pump, and it's not just that, it also pumps the foundation upwards in the bottle which means that you can use all of the product you get. As for the size of this it's slightly smaller than a regular foundation at 0.92 ounces instead of the usual 1 oz. Even so it's a super cheap foundation that I think everyone should try out!

Ignore the marks on the bottle, it's just were I was a while ago and I felt like marking it haha.
My foundation is in the shade Classic Beige I think, and I'm pretty sure that was the lightest shade they  had. In Norway it was a little dark for me, but here in the Sunshine State it's pretty close to perfect!

And here's my face around 10 hours after I put it on. I hadn't done any touch ups so this is how it goes! If I find it again I will definetly repurchase this, but I haven't seen it in the US even though it seems it's avaliable in the UK.

This foundation for me gets 5/5 stars! It's great packaging, great product and long lasting, doesn't break me out and it's dirt cheap. Absolutely perfect!

Xmas Presents for Myself-Haul!

As I mentioned yesterday I've bought some makeup from Sephora, Target and Walgreens that I promised a haul on! I know for sure there will be another haul in not too long as I want a couple of the different things.

Okay, first off I got the Naked 2 Basics palette from Urban Decay. I'm considering getting the regular Naked 2 Palette as well but we'll see! I got the 2nd edition because I like the cool tones more than the warm of the original Naked Basics.

I also got the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden which is the skintone colored version.

Some facestuff is obviously in my haul as well. Two cheapy items and two that are a little more expensive. the ELF Tone Correcting Powder which I've had and finished several off. I got the shade cool which is the one I've had every time I think.

I also got the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny which has been super hyped up online so I have to try it out! As you probably saw from my post yesterday I've hit pan on my ELF bronzer from the St. Lucia Duo. I'll probably do a review on it sooner or later.

I also got the Microsmooth Baked Foundation from Sephora in Light Nude. I haven't tried it out at all yet, just the tester in the store, but I have high hopes.

And the MAC product is actually my first MAC blush ever! It's in the shade Immortal Flower and it's a satin finished peachy coral shade like most of my other blushes. I actually got this from the CCS for $14 on Black Friday.

My two other eye-products too. I had to try out the new BrowDrama from Maybelline. I got the shade Soft Brown which is the medium shade of the three avaliable. I have tried it out already, and it's alright, but the ball is kindof big. I'll need some practice with it, but I'm sure it'll be fine as soon as I get used to it.

Then I decided I would get yet another mascara. This time it's the Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara. Haven't tried it yet, but the brush looks fine and the formula seems to be on the drier side which I perfer.

Okay, so the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer was a 100 point perk from Sephora. It's in the shade Nude and I haven't tried it out yet, but I hope it's the right color. It was the only color they had to give away anyways. It's actually a really good sample too at half an ounce!

And so picked up a few other ones that I've been wanting to try. I picked up N1 in True Match in case anyone is wondering. It is also the lightest shade of the three. I haven't tried them yet except as swatches that you can find on my instagram @chrisbeeblack. I'll let you know as soon as I do!

A sidenote too, btw; most of the items I'm buying are staying new and (fairly) untouched until I get back to Europe in Febuary. The plan is to get some reviews going eventually at least!

Products I've Hit Pan On!

Hey! I'm alive people! I know I haven't written anything here in a year. It's been busy moving to, living in and working in the US.
But I'm back now! Starting with a post on stuff I've hit pan on and almost finished! Let's just go ahead!

One of the things I've hit pan on is an ELF Studio Blush in Peachy Keen. I think. The back doesn't say, it only says #D28, but I think it's Peachy Keen.

Another thing is ELF Contouring and Blushing Bronzer Duo. I got mine when there was only one, but I think there are three different ones now, and this is the one in St. Lucia who is said to be a NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo Dupe.

And then it's the palette that I've hit so pan on so hard! The Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette. I've hit pan on 4 out of 8 shadows, and those 4 are basically the 4 that I can use at work. As a castmember I cant have green eyeshadow on an everyday basis, so I'm super happy with the pan I've hit!

I have a few single eyeshadows as well. This one is one of the ELF Custom Eyes shadows. If I remember correctly this is the shade Wheat which I use alot on my eyelid.

This is yet another ELF Custom Eyes shadow. This is called Ivory and it's just a simple shimmery white which is my go to highlighter for browbone and inner corner.

Next is my blending shadow that I use in my crease before I do anything else that has to do with eyeshadow. It's from a palette by IsaDora called Matte Chocolates. I've depotted the palette altogether and this is the one I've been using the most.

Then I have my makeup remover that's boring, but I figured I might as well include it! I brought this with me from Europe and it's my favourite. But I can't find it here... I picked up another one this time so we'll see how it goes when this one bites the dust!

This one I know for sure you've seen before. I've finished several of these and here's yet another. It's the ELF Tone Correcting Concealer and this is in the shade Rosy Beige which is the 2nd to lightest I believe. I have Ivory as well and I use either depending on how none existant my tan is.

And then I have the L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Fair. It's really nice although it doesn't havev the best coverage. It's nice to just slap on on my way out the door. Probably wont get it again though. But I'd use it again if I got it as a gift.

That said, everything that I've almost finished/hit pan on will be tossed or given away depending when I go back to Europe in Febuary. I have hardly bought any makeup while I've been here except necessities like mascara and eyeliner. Until these past two weeks. Long story short; there will be a haul!

I'll be back. It wont take a year. Promise.
