Just got these in the mail, and showing them all in the eBay haul where they belong would just make the video far to long, so I'm posting the pictures I took and some first impressions with the quality etc of the set.
Ok, so this is the brushroll the set came in. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't expect it to come with a roll. It is a lether-looking thing, and it smelt a little strange at first, but now, after it's been in free air, the smell is completely gone.
This is what it looks like inside. When it first arrived it had plastic tubes around every single brush, and it looked very neat. There is a flap to cover the "head" of the brush which is nice, and they stay very well in their compartments.
These are the first brushes in the set. There are a comb/brush, a mascara wand and two sponge-tip applicators, two angled eyeliner brushes with different width and length of the bristles, a regular eyeliner brush and a smudge-tip from - I guess - smudging eyeliner. The rest are concealer brushes in different shapes and sizes.
Here there are more concealer-type brushes in all shapes and sizes;
angled, flufflier, flatter, smaller, bigger and so on and so forth. I know a lot of people like these brushes for applying eyeshadow as well. Then there's the flimsy little fanbrush in the middle.
More brushes! Yay!
One concealer brush, a huge concealer brush (or a small foundationbrush) and 4 powderbrushes in different styles. There is one angled contourbrush, a brushbrush, and two brushes with super long bristles as you'll see in the pictures further down.
Here are the same brushes, and the huge, badass fan brush in the end. It's enormous!
This is the coolest brush in the entire set! It's like a blending brush, but it's flat in the end.
If any of you know what this is really for, let me know, haha!
Here are the two first brushes of the bigger ones. You can see the one on the top is very slim, completely round, and the bristles are really long. The bottom brush is a little bigger and not as flimsy and I think it would work nicely with blush.
The angled brush and a bigger powderbrush.
The enormous fanbrush!
These are a selection of the brushes in the set, I think it's about half of the set.
So I guess you're all curious about the price and the brushes and such, so I'll get to that now!
The brush was $15.00, so less that 50 cents a brush. That is a really good deal, but buying off of ebay you do take the risk of getting crap in the mail.
Luckily I was really lucky, and all the brushes are super soft! They do not scratch my face at all, and they're great! There's not the best variety with most of the brushes being concealer-type, even though they are different, it's the same type of brush. That doesn't really bother me though, because of several reasons:
- I don't have that many concealerbrushes.
- They work great with other products too: eyeshadows, creams etc.
- The smaller brushes also work great as lipbrushes. Maybe they're meant to be lipbrushes, I'm not sure of that, hahaha.
So all in all, I really like the brushset! I did win this in an auction, though, so I don't know if you can find it anymore from the seller I got it from, but if you search 32pcs makeup brush set or something similar, you'll probably find it !
I hope you enjoyed this little first impressions-video !
