Favourites - June 2013

For once, I am going to do a favourites post! There's just a few makeup bits, but I thought I would shade anyways.

My makeup items are the ELF Mineral Foundation SPF 15 in Light, ELF Mineral Blush in Coral, L'oreal Matte Morphose Souffle Foundation which I did a review of a couple of days ago (LINK), my H&M Liquid Liner which I'm happily surprised with and the Gosh Serious Volume Mascara in Black! Surprised by that one two, since it's not waterproof, but I have cried with it on and it didn't run which is really good for a non-waterproof mascara!

I also have been loving my Joursna brushes which I got off of eBay, but it's basically a short stippling brush and a round kabuki-type brush. The watch is by Regal and I got it in Sweden at half price which was awesome!

I have also had a non-makeup favourite, and I got it on tuesday, so I didn't even have it in June, but I'm adding it here anyways because I want to tell you.

It is the white shelf, and it's from EXPEDIT by IKEA. It's just a white shelf-thing with four shelfes in it. We have a black one too which we have random stuff in, but this is perfect of rmy room as my HELMER drawers which are also by IKEA are white. They are origianlly 249NOK, but I got mine used from 100NOK.

Inside I have my mother's sewing machine, oil for my boyfriend's car and my car, a thing for his electric guitar and a little set of tools, haha. In the top shelfes I have my purses which I don't use as much to the right and my stash of bodylotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a little stash to the left. I do want to get baskets for it which are called DRÖNA and they're 39NOK each and I love them in our other shelf, but they're not made in white, haha.

Anyways, enought rambling about interior, I'll see you later!
One more thing, if you'd like a review of anything, just let me know!
Thank you so much for reading =)

Bloglovin' + Everyday-blog!

I have my blog on bloglovin, I just though I should let you know! If you are on there, you can follow my blog and   get a mail every time I post something if you'd like. Or you can have me there with all of your other favourite blogs! Here is the link: Chrisbeeblack-Beauty on Bloglovin'.

I'd love it if you'd all follow me!

I also have an everyday-blog called Chrisbeeblack as well. Here is the link: Chrisbeeblack
It's is in Norwegian, but I'm going to install a Google Transelate bar there so you can transelate it to your own language. I know Googles transelator isn't perfect, but at least you'd get the point it what I write.
That blog is on Bloglovin' as well, and you can find that here: Chrisbeeblack on Bloglovin'.
I post a few beauty-related things there too!

Thank you for your time!

Check Your Cosmetics

You all know how everyone is talking about how important it is to throw out your makeup and skincare items after so and so many months, right?
Well, I have never been able too, because I don't remember how long I've had my stuff, but now it's gotten a little easier, and hopefully it will me even easier in a while!

And the reason for that is an App I downloaded from the Android Market called Check Your Cosmetics.
When you write in the batch-code and press enter it will tell you when it was made, and how long the shelf-life is, as well as how many months to go. And the best thing? The app is FREE!

It doesn't work with every brand though, which is a shame. Maybelline and ELF is two of the many brands I'd like to have in the app, but what's there is better than nothing.
The brands it works with are:
Arnaud, Aveda
Benefit, Biotherm, Bobbi Brown, Body Shop, Borghese, Bvlgari
Carita, Chanel, Clarins, Cover Girl
Decleor, Dior
Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder
Garnier, Givenchy, Guerlain
Helena Rubinstein
IsaDora
Joe Blasco
Kanebo, Kiehl's
La Colline, La Mer, La Prairie, Lancaster, L'Oreal
MAC, Matis, Mavala
Phyto
Tom Ford
Vichy

As you can see it doesn't have alot of brands, but atleast for you MAC fanatics out there, it will work great!

No pictures of this though, as I can't take picture of my reflective phone-screen with my camera, but I really suggest you try the app, and you don't really have anything too lose (except old makeup) since it's free...

Are you good about tossing old makeup and skincare items?

Favourites: TV shows

I'm pretty sure everybody likes at least one TV Show! Me, on the other hand... I like tons, so I fugured I'd share with you. Maybe you'll get a new favourite, haha! and if you have a favourite, please share and maybe I'll get a new favourite too.

First off is The Big Bang Theory. I own the first season, my boyfriend owns season 2 and we've watched the others online. Definetly going to buy the rest too, but the longer you wait, the cheaper it is!
I mean, there is a reason why this is one of America's most watched shows. It's genious.

An other show I really like is Desperate Housewives, but after the 8th season is finished there wont be any more... Sad truth! Still a very nice show, and I own season 1. I was going to buy the others until I saw how expensive it is, so I've been watching it on TV and online.

An other show I love but they've stopped making is Heroes. I don't know why they decide to stop making all the shows I like, but at least they're still online, haha. I also own season 4, while my boyfriend, Julio, owns season 1, 2 and 3. Luckily!

Just a few more shows left. Next up is Two and a Half Men. I didn't think I would like the new season with Ashton Kutcher, because I've always seen Charlie Sheen as the man making the show worth watching, but it wasn't as bad as I thought, and so far I've seen all the episodes. I have season 1 of this show too, and I'm planning on buying the others.

I also like Gossip Girl and started watching season 3 yesterday. Don't own any of the seasons of this one, but I might some day.

And of course; How I Met Your Mother.
Legen... Wait for it.... Dary!

I think that's it, but I mean, it was 6 shows, haha!
What's your favourite shows?

Blogs worth checking out!

I have 4 bloggers I want to share with you! They are all beauty blogs, and I love reading their posts.

The first blog is RoseShock. She is from Finland, and a lot of ther posts are written in Soumi, but never the less, her tutorials and some reviews are written in English, and this alone is worth following the blog.
This is not a blog for those neutral lovers out there, because RoseShock loves to rock bright and bold makeup!

Next is KlayerD. She does mostly reviews on her blog, and she's got really nice pitcures and swatches as well. Unfortunatly she haven't posted in a while, but hopefully she'll come back soon!

Mainly Reviews on this blog too, mized in with FOTD's and Hauls. I love hauls, seing what people buy is really intresing to me!
Really awesome reviews, and she posts very frequently! Nice swatches and picutres, and I think she's got a wonderful personality!

Last blogger for today; Nina's Bargain Beauty.
Also reviews, and she's constantly hunting for a bargain.
Great reviews, awesome swatches and pictures, and she posts frequently too!

That were all the blogs for today! Hopefully you'll check them out and maybe you'll even love their blogs as much as I do, haha!

October 2011 Favourites

I wanted to share my october favourites with you, and I'd really like to know it if you shared yours!

Here is everything, and I'll go closer into everything below.

Left to right: Sigma E10, ELF Powderbrush, ELF Comlexion Brush.
I use the Sigma E10 for my liquid eyeliner that's also mentioned below. It's a very thin, pointed bursh, and I love it!
The powder brush, that I use for liquid foundation instead of powder is an awesome brush. It's just the right size and dencity for both applying and blending foundation!
Complexion Brush. I use this for my setting powder, as well as blush and bronzer. <3 this brush, haha!

My favourite eyeliners and eyeshadow base!
ArtDecos Eyeshadow Base, ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black, ELF Liquid Eyeliner in Black, Maybelline Khol Express in Glam Black are my favourites at the moment. The liquid liner is fairly opaque and very easy to apply with the Sigma E10 I mentioned below.
I use the Khol Pencil to apply the cream eyeliner to my waterline since it stays a lot better than the pencil alone, even though it clams to be waterproof.
The way I do this is I just dip the pencil into the cream liner and apply it that way. I use it both on my upper and lower waterlines.

Foundation, concealer and setting powder is pretty essential for my makeup rountine now-a-days.
My recent loves are Maybelline Affinitone foundation in 03 Light Sandbeige, Garnier Anti-Dark Circles Roll-On and ELF Complexion Perfection. You can really tell I like the complexion Perfection, it's got a huge dent in it, haha!

You know what really surprised me?
You know foundations usually contains 30ml/1 oz, right? Well, the Garnier Roll-On contains 15ml/0.5 oz. That's half the size in that little thing! That's a lot of product for your buck!

L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black has been my go-to mascara for the past weeks, so I felt like I had to include it. It's very black, and pretty volumizing, so in my oppinion, it's great!

Next is IsaDora's Pump 'n' Plump Lip Contour in 72 Cherry. This is awesome and so easy to use. An other plus is that the colour really suits my skintone!

Lastly is ELF Treat and Tame for my eyebrows. It dries fast, and even though it's a little dark it works if I don't put on too much!

My 120 Palette, how can you not love this?
Nuff Said, haha!
I have a review on this if you want to read that HERE!

Thanks guys!
Make sure to follow my blog if you like what you see :)
