Haul - Forgive me, guys, for I have sinned

Hey guys!

Just a quick post in the middle of my exams. I got my task today, and it's going to be delivered on Thursday @ 10.00 AM, and I really hope it goes well! Wish me luck!

I decided to pick up the L'oreal Nude Magic BB Cream today, and the only reason was that it was on sale. It usually costs 179NOK, which is about $30, but it was on sale for 99NOK which is around $16-17. That was an awesome sale, and it's very rarely sale on L'oreal products here, so I just had to get it now while it was almost half price!
I hope you guys don't mind, haha

I got the shade Light, but if my store had it, I would have gotten Fair instead because Light might be a tad to dark, at least now before I get somewhat of a tan on my white skin, haha. I think I can make it work though. I'm pretty sure it's be okay.

And I already know I wanted this, it's a very intresting texture, and it's great for summer as I don't have to set it with a powder. A L'oreal MUA used it on me last summer whne it was released, and I've wanted it ever since. I'm not sure if she used Light og Fair, though, but I think it was Light since it was in the summer.

Review: Hema Makeup Base

Now, just be said, I don't know if this is avaliable anywhere else than in Holland, which is where I got it.

This is the packaging. It's a simple squeeze-tube and the packaging is all over fine. I don't remember how much this was, but it wasn't more than €5 I think.

This base claims to be mattifying, smoothing and calming, improves long lasting result of make-up and is for all skin types. I just have to say, this primer is crap.

Here's a swatch. The product comes out.
The product feels okay when you first apply it, but for a makeup base that claims to be smoothing, this applies unevenly, it makes my makeup look like crap, even the foundation that look really natural on my skin looks caked on and really strange with this underneath.

I will definelty not repurchase this, I actually threw it away.
I have actually included this in a monthly favourites once, and I can honestly say I don't know what I was thinking. This is a shitty product, but don't judge the brand, I bought several other things from Hema that I love, but this one is not really good in any way. Maybe unless you were just using this without any makeup over it, but then, what would be the point of a base?

Don't pick this up, but if you love it, good for you!
I really perfer silicone-based primers like the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer. I also want to try the primers from MUA. Have you tried them?
Which one is your favourite?

Wishlist: After Project 30 Pan

I thought I'd show you some of the things I want to get after I've finished my Project 30 Pan. The ELF Mineral Blushes in Coral and Peachy I as well as the ELF Cream Blushes in Vixen and Tease were also here, but I cheated and got them bofore I should have because they were on sale.

I want the ELF Lipstain in Crimson Crush. I believe this is $2/£2.50.

I also want the ELF Matte Lip Color in Rich Red. I already have the one in coral and I quite like it. These are so much easier to use than regular lipstick! These are $3/£3.50.

This is the MUA Matte Perfect Primer, and I believe this is a silica-primer. This is £4, and it contains more than the ELF Mineral Infused Primer which I love and have used up, so I don't have it right now. If this is cheaper, contains more product and have the same effect + keeping my skin matte, this would be great!

The MUA Power Pouts are also really pretty. I want the shades Justify, Runway and Broken Hearted. These are £3 I think.

This is my MUA as well, and it's the primer from their Undress Your Skin-line. This is £5, and I really want to try it.

I've heard a lot of great things about this, so I think I'll pick this up as well! This is £5.

This I know I love! A L'oreal MUA put it on my when it released and it's great! It keeps matte and it has a nice coverage for everyday. I think this is around $10 in the US, but correct me if I'm wrong. Here in Norway it is about NOK 180, which is the same as $30.

I also want some brushes. I want the ELF Studio Blush Brush, ELF Contour Brush, ELF Flawless Concealer Brush, ELF Angled Blush Brush and the ELF Small Stipple Brush. All the ELF Brushes I mentioned are £3.75. From MUA I want the Blending and Shadow Brush (£1.95). ELF has so many more brushes to choose from, but I think they're lacking a good blendingbrush, so I'll get that from MUA. Hopefully it'll work out good! Maybe I'll get the MUA Stippling Brush (£3) as well so I can compare it to the one from ELF.

Also from MUA I'd like their Makeup Train Case, but that's £30 + shipping, so I don't think I'll get that unless it's on supersale...

Makeup-items I have given away!

I have a friend who is a tad darker than I am, so everytime I get something that's too dark, I just pass it on to her. Same goes for other things I don't use. She usually takes it, and it's a quick way to get rid of makeup without having to throw it out, because I hate throwing it out, I'd rather give it away, and of course, we both are happy with it; I get to clean out a bit of my makeup, and she gets new makeup for free.

The things I've given away are:
  1. Viva la Diva Lipstick - Hard Rock Sweetie
  2. Oriflame HydraComfort Lipstick - Brick
  3. Liquid LipSmacker - Coca-Cola Cherry
  4. Nivea Angel Star (lipbalm)
  5. Origlame Indian Magic Tinted Face Powder - 26 Sunrise
  6. TCW Finishing Powder
  7. TCW Mineral Powder Foundation
  8. Oriflame Satin Finished Pressed Powder - Medium/Dark
  9. ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Nude
  10. Comodynes - Universal Undereye Concealer
  11. Get Lit Eyeshadows x 2
  12. L'oreal Color Appeal Trio Pro for Hazel Eyes - 408 Night & Day Black
  13. Max Factor Eyeshadow Trio
  14. Oriflame Matt Cream Powder Foundation - Soft Beige
  15. Oriflame Palette (eyehadows, blush, lipgloss & powder)
  16. Guylond Palette
  17. H&M Glitter Eyeshadow Palette
  18. ELF Zit Zapping Concealer - Fair
  19. Concealer Pencil from eBay
I've also given her a L'oreal 24H Brush On Foundation in the past which was also too dark. I feel really good that I got to give away some things since I kindof broke my Project 30 Pan with buying some things from ELF.

They're just over 20likes away from hitting 395K likes, and if they have a good code I might pick up some more things, but what I really want are more of their brushes, but they're mostly out of stock =/

What do you do with your makeup when the colour doesn't suit you or you just don't use it anymore?
Donate it, give it away, sell it, keep it?

Review: ELF Cream Blushes

Hello! So far, so good when it comes to the blogging, haha!

This time I will review the ELF Cream Blushes. I have three of them;
L - R
Tease, Heart Breaker, Vixen

If you're intrested they are $6/£6.50, but they are currently on sale for £3 on the ELF UK-website!
There are 5 shades on the US-website and 6 on the UK-site. The shade missing on the US-site is Vixen. I don't know if it's just sold out, or if it's not going to be sold there. I know UK gets their products from the US, so I would assume they're discontinuing the colour.

Here you can see the packaging. It's kindof bulky and big, but it's not really a problem for me.

Here you can see the swatches. Obviously the darker colours appear alot better on the skin, and I wouldn't reccomend Heart Breaker if your skintone is medium-dark, I don't know if it would show very well. But ofcourse, what do I know, my skin's almost white!
I applied the swatches with my fingers, but I have used brushes to apply it to my cheeks as well.
L - R
Tease, Vixen, Heart Breaker.

Tease is a brownish coral-colour, and I think it would be really pretty on most people. It defiently has a warm undertone, and it is quite buildable.
Vixen is a red-colour that has a little hint of plum to it. I'd say this is a warmtoned-colour as well, and this can be built up ALOT! I don't think I would reccomend this if you're any lighter than I am, it might be too dark unless you are really careful.
Heart Breaker is a light baby pink, and I actually thought this would lean more orange when I bought it because that was what it looked like on the ELF-website. I don't really wear pink on my cheeks, I like orange, peachy and coral colours, but I have used it several times.

All of the colours are matte, and you don't have to set them with a powder!

Here you can see the texture. It's not really a cream, it's more like play-doh. You can kind of see the texture in the pictures.

I really like these blushes. They're great for everyday, but the packaging isn't really travel-friendly. I really like the product inside, though! I wish there were more shades, and the price is a little high for ELF, but definetly worth the price, at least for me here in Norway since we usually pay twice the price for a L'oreal blush anyways. In the US I know you can get makeup-products alot cheaper, so I don't know if it would be such a good bargain for you guys. Still a very intresting texture and I would definetly try them out.
Almost forgot to mention; they last pretty long on me, but of course that'll depend on your skintype !

Be sure to look up swatches online though, the ELF swatches aren't really that reliable. I'll give you an example:

These are both Heart Breaker. They don't look remotely the same!
The left one is from the ELF webstite, and what I thought I got when I ordered Heart Breaker. I have to say I was a little disappointed when I got it.

My Project 30 Pan

If any of you are subscribed to my youtube-channel, chrisbeeblack, you probably already know this, but I've started a Project 30 Pan. I started on the 1st of April, and I'm over halfways after just a month.

Here is my list of things I'm going to finish.

  1. Isadora Perfect Coverstick - Light
  2. Miners Voluptulash Mascara - Black
  3. Max Factor Kohn Pencil - Black
  4. L'oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss - Carbon Black
  5. Ulta Eye Highlighting Wand
  6. Yves Rocher Lash Plumping Mascara - Black
  7. Hema Lipgloss Shine
  8. Maybelline Kohl Express - Glamblack
  9. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipliner - Coral Fire
  10. NYC Sandbar Quad - Brown Shade
  11. Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - Ivory
  12. ELF Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - Rosy Beige
  13. Max Factor Age Renew Foundation - 45 Warm Almond
  14. Deadly Passion Pearl Perfume
  15. Amèlie English Lavender Foot Lotion
  16. Natuvive Pomegranate Body Lotion
  17. Yves Rocher Eye Makeup Remover
  18. NYC Sandbar Quad - Highlighter Shade
  19. Lee Stafford Poker Straight Dry Shampoo
  20. Dove Deostick
  21. Farmasi Facial Cleanser Tonic - Rose
  22. Farmasi Facial Cleanser Gel - Lime
  23. Define Hairthickening Haircream
  24. Garnier Pure 3in1 Wash/Scrub/Mask
  25. ELF Studio Pressed Powder - Sand
  26. ELF Eyelid Primer - Sheer
  27. "Blistex" Lipbalm (refilled the container)
  28. Garnier Eye Roll-on
  29. TCW Lipgloss Palette
  30. Biotin Hairspray

All the things in bold writing are finished! That's 16 products I believe, and I can't wait to be finished!
I did haul 8 makeup products from ELF, but I have also given away 14 products to a friend, so I feel it's okay, I still have less products than I had when I started! 14 + 16 are 30 products gone, and then - 8 are 22 products. And I also have 14 other products left from my Project 30 Pan.
22 + 14 are 36, so all in all I will have 6 products less than if I were to just finish my Project.

Can't wait to be done! I have a wishlist of things I want to get when the Project is over, so I'll post that here later today or tomorrow. I have gotten a few of the products on the list already in my 1st of May-haul, though.

Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate it!

Review: ELF Custom Eyes & Compact

Hi guys! I know in my last post which was 4 or 5 months ago I said I would start blogging more often, and I failed horribly! I've had so much to do at school but I'm going to try... Again!

Ok, so on the picture underneath you can see all the colours I have from the range. There are 14 colours to choose from on the ELF UK-website, while there are 18 on the ELF US-website. I have all the natural colors, except "taupe" which haven't gotten to the UK yet. Aubergine is the only one that really has a real colour too it, but the dark purple are not that colorful.

If you are intrested in these, they're on sale for only £0.45 on the ELF UK-site! As are the Custom Face and Custom Lips.
L-R
Ivory, Pink Ice, Wheat, Golden Glow, Drift Wood
Moon Dust, Mocha, Aubergine, Dusk

L-R
Ivory, Pink Ice
Wheat, Golden Glow
Drift Wood, Moon Dust

L-R
Mocha, Aubergine, Dusk

You can clearly tell the last three are the ones with the most colour-payoff.
I think these are great! They're super cheap at only $1/£1.50 (£0.45) a piece, and the Compacts to put them in are the same price. The Compacts have 4 spots for the eyeshadows as well as a huge mirror which is great. The separator in the palettes are also super-easy to take out if you'd like to do that.

Here are two looks I created with eyeshadows from the ELF Custom Eyes. As I base I used the ELF Eyelid Primer. The colours will be even brighter if you use a sticky base such as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils.
Here I used Dusk all over the lid, blended with Moon Dust and used Ivory as I highlight.

Here I'm wearing Aubergine in the outer V and the crease with Wheat all over the lid. My highlight is Pink Ice.

I actually have 7 of the compacts! They're great for travelling because of the size and mirror, and you can actually fit 5 or 6 eyeshadows in there!

These are definetly great value, even though the pigmentation isn't amazing on my hand, they are a lot better when you have a primer underneath. I really reccomend the ELF Eyelid Primer which is also $1/£1.50.

I'd say "Go for it!" They're cheap and very good for everyday =)
