Review: Pierre René Single Eyeshadows

I have 12 of these, so hopefully I'll be able to give you a nice review on these!'

Here they are, randomly spread out on my table, haha!

Here is the packaging. It's very small and vary compact, and you don't get extra packaging because of the sponge-tip. It is very neetly put on the lid and it what makes it stick on the packaging. I quite like it, the only thing is that the sponge-applicator is a bit stiff, but I don't use it, so it doesn't really bother me.

Here is the back. It says the finnish of the eyeshadow, in this case pearl, the number, weight, the companies website and so on. One thing I find strange is that it says "made in Italy" the adress is Paris, France, while it also says Malmö, Sweden. And as the last confusing thing; on the website you can choose between two languages; English. And Polish. Confusing.

Here are all the colours again. L - R.
Top: no. 16, 33, 40, 47, 72, 10
Bottom: no. 58, 15, 38, 06, 07, 08

I also took some close-ups:
Top: 16, 33, 40
Bottom: 58, 15, 38

Top: 47, 72, 10
Bottom: 06, 07, 08

Here are the swatches. As you can tell I have two matte shades; the 5th shade on the top row and the 1st on the bottom row. They are less pigmented that the rest, but the swatches are taken without a base or anything, so they would be more pigmented if you used one. The rest of them are pearl-shades, but Pierre René's also got metallic shades and I think another one too.

They are very pigmented when packed on with a brush and they are also pretty cheap, at least after Norwegian Standards. I paid 39 NOK for each, but there's a 3 of 99 option too so you can get them for a bit cheaper each if you do that. I really like these, and shade no 38 which is the golden orange shade looks wonderful with my blue eyes, it makes them pop!

After all very good shades and very nice pigmentation. They can be a little crumbly but I do not care at all.
Awesome, highly reccomended!

I will do a few looks with these to show you, but I don't have the time right now.

FOTD - W&W Comfort Zone

I was requested to do a fall smokety-eye with the Wet and Wild Comfort Zone palette, so I filmed the tutorial this morning so I go the natural lighing, and then, obviously that was my eye, or face, of the day.

I used the W&W Comfort Zone palette, shade 5 as a lid-colour, all the way up to the crease, shade 7 into the crease, and a mix of shade 1 and 2 for my browbone highlight. As a innercorner highlight I used shade 1 and my pinky. Before I applied the eyeshadows I used ELF Eyelid Primer and a black khol with some cream eyeliner on it as a base. Then I put on my liquid liner and a couple of coats of mascara.

For my face I used Maybelline Afinitone foundation, Max Factor Mastertouch undereye concealer, ELF complexion Perfection, ELF Studio blush in blushing rose.

On my lips I'm wearing a hydracolour in the shade Terracotta which is number 26. It had some residue of a red lipstick on it though, so it's not usually this red.

Lastly I went through my brows with ELF Eyebrow Treat and Tame.

Christmas Traditions: Gløgg

I love gløgg, and it's very christmas-y, while it's nice to drink with friends and family. Here in Norway, gløgg can be used as a welcome-drink, party-drink, or you can sit down with a big cup of gløgg and your favourite book while the snow is falling outside.

Now, before I go on to the recepie, be aware that this is quite a spicey drink!
And also, this is a drink with alcohol in it, wine is the main ingredient. You can chose if you'd like red wine or white wine, but red wine is more common, at least where I live!

You can see the ingredients below, so lets get to the procedure!

  1. Put honey, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, orange peel, dried blueberries and a little bit of nutmeg and pepper in a boiler with the 2 desiliters of water and let it boil for about 10 minutes. Cover it up and let it cool over night.
  2. Strain from the spice and you'll be left with a very spicy water.
  3. Warm it in a boiler with the wine, the aquavit/vodka and the madeira.
  4. Serv with raisins and freshly chopped almonds.
I like to eat gingerbread with it!

I got a blog-award!

Review: ELF Pumping Lip Glaze

I know I said I would do the reviews after I finished the products, but then I found out it would be hard to swatch them that way. Clever, huh?

Anyways, I'm almost done with this, and I'll have to use a brush to get to the bottom of the tube.

Here is the packaging. Very simple and kind of cheap, but this cost £1.5, so the packaging doesn't matter that much, at least not to me. I forgot to mention this, but I have the shade fire coral.

Here are the swatches. The left shade is a little more pink than it originally was though. Reason being I've used it over bright pinks and reds. The glosses are a little sticky, but that also means they stay on longer. It's not overly sticky, though, so don't worry. The coloured side is fairly pigmented and it does give some colour to your lips. My lips aren't super dark, though, so if you have very pigmented lips it might now show up as much.

Here you can see what I was talking about above; the sponge-tip doesn't go all the way down in the tube so there is quite a lot of product left in the bottom. You can reach it with a lipbrush, but it is a little unconvenient to carry a lipbrush in addition to the gloss when it alreaedy comes with an applicator.

I really like this, but I'm not sure if I'll repurchase it, just because there's so many other lip-products I'd rather get to try out.

Bullying and Inner Beauty

I asked a friend of mine what I should write here, and her answer was inner beauty. Obviously, the cliché "Beauty comes from the inside" is well known and I mean, who wants a beautiful girl who's ugly on the inside? Or a boy for that matter. It's kind of scary to think about how many girls starve their selves, do unnecessary plastic surgery and put way too much makeup on their poor, mostly, teenage faces.

I get why you would, trust me.
I was bullied for ceveral years. It was when I was a lot younger then I am now, from I was 9 to I was maybe 11-12. I was bullied for being fat, and the guy who bullied me was a head shorter than me. He was also bigger than me and a year older. He was insecure, and to get confidece he had to push me downwards.

I am fine with the bullying now, it was a long time ago and I have a rough skin.
The problem is the girls who are teenagers or young adults. You are insecure, you're vulnerable and you believe what the bully is saying about you. He, or she, is hiding behind big words.

The way I solved my problem was ... unconventional.
My mum told me to push him into a ditch. He was weaker and shorter than me, so I did.
And it helped. He wasn't hurt or anything, but he got the point; I wasn't going to tolerate it anymore.
Be aware that violence should not be an option, but for me it was the last option. We tried anything, but he didn't stop.

But seriously.

Do not let a bully get you down. (S)He is insecure and needs a doormat to wipe their feet on to believe that they're actually worth something. And if you are the bully, please stop.
How would you feel if someone did that to you ceveral times a day every week.
You're beautiful just the way you are, even though your nose is to big, your eyes are to small or if your face has the wrong proportions. You are beautiful, truly.

The reason is that confidence is the key. I'm not the most confident person in the world, but I haven't hit rock bottom. If you've seen the "How to look good naked" show, and you've seen the big girl who's wearing two different outfits you know what I'm talking about. In the picture where she's hiding in huge clothes she looks huge. In the picture with the black dress she looks so good! It's all about clothes that fit your bodyshape and personality. I know I'm repeating myself, but you're beautiful, so why don't you believe it?

Thank you, beautiful.
For reading this, and for being yourself.
For believing in yourself.

Wishlist #2

I just realised that I want a lot more stuff that what I wanted in the My Christmas Wishlist-post. In that one it was mostly shoes and a couple of eyeshadows, but when I wrote the Perfume Collection I was going to mention a few perfumes I'd like to get and try, but I wanted to write it here instead.

First thing is Christine Aguilera Inspire.
Then I can mention Chanel no. 5.
Dolce Gabbana Light Blue
Then I would love some of the old Escada Scents, but they're limited edition, so I'm not going to mention them here. I'll just keep going instead!

Roxie shoe by superkul.no. This is the read one, but I'm not sure if I want the red, the purple or the black...

This earring from Dragenshule.no

Cream eyeliners by ELF. I have the black and the white, but I want all the other colorus, ecpessially this gorgeous teal shade!

Extreme Makeup Makeover!

Makeupbee posted this on facebook, and I was amazed!
That's why I NEEDED to show you this.

You can check out the whole post here, but it's in chinese so I didnt understand anything. The pictures, however are worth a thousand words:

Amazing, makeup really can change your face a lot!

Here are the comparison-pictures.
Yes, it's the same girl!

This is before.

And here's the after.

I showed my brother this, and the first thing he said was "she looks like a doll". And she does.
This is a very good example of the gyaru-look. It's very popular, or was at least, I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure it's still pretty popular in eastern Asia.

Totally awesome, I definetly want to try this.

Anyone knows where I can get cheap lenses like this?

Perfume Collection (November 2011)

I wanted to share my Perfume collection with you guys. It's not really that big, but I mean, it doesn't matter.
So here they all are, and I'll write down names and notes under the picture!

Top row, L - R, Bottom row, L-R:
Deadly Passion Pearl by Moara Shira
Escada Tasj Sunset
Love Generation Pink
Jean Paul Gaultier MaDame
Tendenza for Her by Van Gils
Eternity Purple Orchid by Calvin Klein
Fusion Perfumery (my own scent)

Edit: I now got 2 more:
Calcin Klein One Shock for Her
Christina Aguilera Royal Desire

On to the notes, and I'll tell you my favourites last!

Deadly Passion Pearl by Moara Shira
I can't find the notes for this, but if you can then please let me know!
I got this as a gift a few years ago, but as you can tell I've bearly used it. I'm going to start using it now, because it's a very fall and winter fragrance. 40 mililiter size.

Escada Taj Sunset (limited edition 2011)
Alphonso Mango, Blood Orange, Watery Blossom, Sweet Primrose, Raspberry, Coconut Cream, Musk and Sandalwood. The obvious not that you smell right away is the mango, and it smells delicious! I spent almost 500 NOK on this in the Tax-Free on my way to Amsterdam this summer and it was totally worth it! I got the 100ml size too since it's a limited edition scent it won't come back...

Love Generation Pink
Pineapple, Litchi, Sandalwood, Piña Colada, Coconut, Mandarin Orange, Musk, Hibiscus, Peach, Jasmine and Papaya. I bought this right in the spring hoping it would be a dupe for the Taj Sunset which is a rather expensive perfume. It wasn't but it smells very nice and fruity. Perfect summer scent, just as escada, except that it's not that long lasting. Doesn't really matter for the price though! 60ml bottle.

Jean Paul Gaultier MaDame
Musk, Cedar, Rose, Peony Pink and Orange.
I bought this in the Tax-Free this summer too, but this time in the one in AMS. I paid €25 for this which is very inexpensive compared to what I would buy it for here in Norway. I got the 50ml size because that's what they had and I have enough perfume to last me a while. I don't think it's a limited edition either, so if I run out I can buy it again, even though I would love to try the MaDame Rock n Roses. Smells very nice too.

Tendenza for Her by Van Gils
Grapefruit, Green Apple, Freesia, Rose, Jasmine and Vanilla
I think this was the first perfume I ever bought for my own money. I paid 100NOK for it ceveral years ago when the cruise I bought it on where going to stop selling it. This is my everyday perfume at the moment, but I think I'm going to change to something more fall-like soon. I've got the 75ml bottle.

Eternity Purple Orchid by Calvin Klein
Waterlily, Dewey Green, Italian Mandarin, Purple Vanilla Orchid, Purple Plum, Freesia, White Peach, Rose, Tonka Bean, Indian Sandalwood and Heliotrope.
I gotta have to admit; I haven't heard of half the stuff in this perfume. It was limited edition, and it was my grandmother's, but when she passed away years ago I got it. It's just a small 15ml size from a set with 3 different Eternity Perfumes. It was the Original, this one and the red one, Rose Blush, that I've used up.

Fusion Perfumery - My Own Scent.
Lemongrass, Cherry Blossom, Green Apple, Coconut, Leather, Musk and Sandalwood.
This is a perfume oil. Just so you know. This scent is special to me, because I designed it. I picked out the notes, and I wish that it would smell more coconut because I love that scent, but it smells very cherry. Unfortunatly my boyfriend don't like the scent of cherries so I only wear it when I wont see him.
An other thing is that this was sent to me for free so I could do a review on it. I've only had it for about a week and a half so I haven't been able to use it that much yet.

If you want to design your own scent you can check out Fusion Perfumery!
It's very cool!

Christina Aguilera Royal Desire
Mandarin, Blackberry, Marshmallow, Honeysuckle, Rose, Lily, Spices, Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar.
I got this scent from my 7, almost 8 year old *very important* step-brother for Christmas.
I haven't actually tried it yet because I'm trying to finish an other perfume, but it smells very good out of the bottle.

Calvin Klein One Shock for Her
Pink peony, Jeweled poppy flower, Blackberry, Jasmine, Narcisse flower liquid chocolate accord, Magnetic ambers, Vanillin, Patchoili, Skin musk
I have used this scent a little bit, and it smells good and last fairly long on the skin. Might be a night-scent for some people but I don't realy care, haha
Really like the packaging with the screw-cork and the spray on the side.

That was all my perfumes, and my favourite have to be Taj Sunset by Escada. It is a very spring and summer-type scent though, so I'll have to wait for spring so I can use it again!
My other favourite is ... MaDame. I think. I really like the scent but it's hard to decide between that one and Tendenza for Her since I haven't used it too much yet.

Other perfumes I've had and used up is the Mariah Carey original perfume. The one with the butterfly on top. I don't remember the size, but I think it might have been a 50ml. Got it for xmas a few years ago.
I also usedthe Christina Aguilera perfume, the one with the lace-design. It was a 75ml bottle, and I still adore that perfume so I might repurchase it one day, but the one I had I got from my mum when she came back from Prague a couple years ago. Then I have had 3 small ones; 30 ml Christina Aguilera by Night and a 20 or 30ml Bruno Banani Magic Woman, both from gift sets. Last one I can remember is Calvin Klein's Eternity Rose Blush 15ml that I mentioned up here somewhere. I've also had a perfume called Mallorca Girl, but I gave it to a friend because she really liked it.

What's your favourite perfume?

Magazine Wallets

I was bored today.... Again... So I decided to make a magazine wallet! I showed it on my youtube-channel and got requested to do a tutorial, so obviously, I made another one. And now I have two awesome, unique wallets made out of magazine paper.

I wanted to show you guys too, so here are some pictures of them.

This is the front of the first one I made. The picture was on the back of the magazine cover, and it's an add for a mascara.

Here is the inside. Yuo can see the push-button or what ever they're called on the sides and on the opposite site of the cards there's room for paper-bills.

Here's a close-up of the card-site.

Here's the front of the one I made for the tutorial. Obviously, you can tell alot better that this is made out of a magazine than the first one I made, but that's the charm, right?

Here's the inside again, also with cards on one side and room for money on the oppsite.

And finally a close-up of the card-part.

So that was it, there will be a tutorial on how to make these up tomorrow on my channel if you want to check that out, and I'll see you guys later!

Review: Wet & Wild Comfort Zone (8 pan) Palette

I got this palette in a swap from a girl called Lacy. Reason why is because it's not sold outside the US. I think...
The price of this is $4.99, I'm pretty sure, and that's an amazing price for these 8 eyeshadows.

This is what the palette looks like, and as you can tell, I decided to mark the colours by numbers from 1-8, just because it would be a hasstle to write "left definer" "right lid shade" etc all the time.
You understand that, right?

All of the colours in this palette is very pigmented, very blendable and totally awesome. With the exception of a few shades. I'll show you the swatches first so you can see..

Here they all are, and as you can tell there are two shades that are a lot less pigmented than the others; shade 1, and shade 6. Shade one is a super pretty creamy shade, and the fact that it is one of the browbone/highlighter-shades kind of makes it ok for it to be this sheer. With shadew 6, on the other hand, it's not ok. In the pan it looks like a super pigmented black with gold shimmers. In the swatch it looks like a light gray with some gold in it. This is supposed to be a crease-shade, so not ok.

An other thing is that shade 6 and sometimes shade 7 too is very hard to blend compared to the other shades which is heaven to blend. With shade 7 it's not really a huge problem, you just have to work with it a little longer, but shade 6 is horriable. No pigmentation and hard to blend. Such a shame too, because the colour is gorgeous in the pan!

As you might know if you follow this blog, you're a subscriber to my youtube-channel or you "like" my facebook-page, is that I have a Project 15 Pan going, and that this is a palette I have chosen to use every day during it. That means, since I started the Project 15 Pan I've had different looks everyday, I don't want it to be a routine that I do the same way every day.

So, today, I have shade 8 in my outer corner and crease, with shade 3 on my lid and shade 1 as a browbone and inner corner highlight. I've also had ceveral other looks. Here's one of them:

Here I used shade 1 as a browbone-highlight, shade 7 for my crease and outer corner and shade 8 as my lid-colour. The picture is a little washed out, but you get the idea.

I've also used shade 5 on the lid, blended into the crease with shade 1 as a highlight and much, much more.

I love the palette, you can get so many different looks from it, from a super simple, plain look, to the very edgy, dark smokey-eye.
Definetly worth the $5, and it would be worth at least the double!

Tips 'n' Tricks #1

When I was putting on my pantyhose hoping they wouldn't break, I remembered a little trick that I wanted to share with you. It's basicly really simple, and can be done with a thing I'm sure all girls have at home.

So, basicly what you do is put your pantyhose or thin tights on, and spray them with hairspray. This will keep them from ripping. Just make sure the hairspray dies completly, you don't want a hairspray that dries tacky, haha!

An other thing is, if you already have a tiny hole in it, but you don't have a new pair, or you're in a hurry and don't have the time to change, put a little bit of clear nailpolish over the hole after you put them on. It will keep them from ripping further!

So, that was today's little tip! Some of you might have known this already, but hopefully it was helpful to some of you!

Thank for reading guys!

3 year anniversary!

Hi guys!

Today is my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend! I can't believe it's been that long, I mean, time really passes by! As you know, we went to the movies on friday, but today, we're going to a restaurant called Torino to celebrate. It's going to be so nice.

Here's the ring I got for out anniversary last year. The stones look black in the picture,
but in reality, and in the right lighting they've got a red sheen to them. So pretty, hihi!

Unfortunatly, my camera decided to let it's battery die, so I wasn't able to take any pictures on friday, and I wont be able to do that today either which really sucks. I was also planning to film a tutorial for the look I'm going and maybe an OOTD, but now I can't...

As my camera died, I have to use picture from last year.
This is taken excactly a year ago today!

An other thing I was planning to do today was to film a tag. I just got tagged by Nina2011 on youtube to do the "Would you rather TAG" for 2011, so obviously I have to do it, haha!

Anyways, now I wont go on about this weekend anymore, I don't wanna scare you off with my love-talk, but I'm afraid Cupid's arrow is stuck!

I'll see you later, guys!
