I got the job - I'm moving to Orlando, FL - Disney here I come!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to tell you that I got the job at Walt Disney World! I got the message wednesday 23rd of October, and I know I've been slow with telling you, but I wanted my friends and family to know! And then the same day my brother got to stop using the crutches, so we were super excited. I've told you about his accided before in THIS POST if you are intrested in his MC accident.

I've also written about how I found the job, and my interview experience HERE, and I'm actually planning to make a separate blog for my yeaer at Disney. If you have any cool names I'd love to hear it, the creative side of my brain has been slightly malfunctional lately.

But I'm not here to bore you with details of things I've written before.
I'm here to tell you that I got THE JOB, and that I will leave for Florida on the 11th of February 2014. I'll be gone for an entire year, and get back home in the beginning of February 2015. I can't wait! There's a lot to do, read and prepare of course, and I'm leaving in just 3 months which is hard to believe! All my friends and family - except my grandmother, who wanted to keep me in Norway - congratulated me alot and wished me good luck - some would even love to work there themselves. And my grandmother eventually wished me luck and said she would try to visit me while I'm there =)

Ahhh, I really can't wait! I wont have the best payrate, and my privacy will be non-excstant, but it'll be the adventure of a lifetime I'm sure! When I get back I'm planning to get a small Mickey Mouse silhouette tattooed somewhere. Just small and discrete, maybe by my ankle.

Something like this! It's so cute <3

The tattoo will help me remember my experience and it's something to look back at when I'm old and smile - hopefully!

Really ecstatic about this for sure!
And again; let me know if you have an idea for an awesome blogname for the experience <3
Thank you so much for reading everyone, I really apprechiate everyone of you who stop by my blog. Truly!

My DISNEY Interview - Cultural Representative of Norway

I know, I've been bad again.

But today I'm back to tell you about my interview with Disney yesterday!
I have previously told you that I have applied for a job at Disney World in Florida as a cultural representative of Norway, and yesterday I finally had my interview! I was so excited, haha!
Sorry this post is really, really long!

I came across the job on a Norwegian website called nav.no and I applied Sunday the 22nd of September. The day after I had already gotten a mail telling me to call Stephanie for a Skype interview as quickly as possible. I called that same day. On September 30th, I got an invitation for the interview in Oslo.

Okay, so I startet out really badly by going to bed the night before way to late, and then on t
+op of that I couldn't sleep when I tried. The clock was about 3.30 am when I finally fell asleep, and I woke up at 6am by my self, half an hour before my alarm clock rang. So I got up, did my makeup, got dressed and drove to the train station. My train left at 7.38am, and I was supposed to meet at the Karl Johan Best Western hote in Oslol for a presentation and interview at 9.30, so it's safe to say I had a lot of time as it was only an hour by train.

On the train I actually met a person who I went to primary and secondary school with who was also going to the interview, so that made the time go alot quicker both on the train and when we were waiting. So at 10am we finally had our presentation. There were three Disney Employees from the US there, named Jill, Laura and Micheal, and also two girls from international services named Stephanie and Emélie from France. Stephanie is my contact when it comes to Disney, and whom I've gotten all my information from.

During the presetation the positions were explained. There are three different jobs, all of which is located at the Norwegian Pavillion of the EPCOT Sentre in Walt Disney World; Merchandise, which is basically selling merchanide, Attractions, where you run the attraction and help people in and out of it in the Norwegian Pavillion and Food and Beverage which is like a Waitress/Waiter position.

I placed Merchandice 1st, Attractions 2nd and Food and Beverage last. The pay is between $7.79 and $8.75 per hour depending on your position and you pay somewhere between $85 and $105 a week in rent, depending on the size of the apartment and how many coworker you share it with. The apartments are split between 2, 4, 6 or 8 employees and there are two people in each bedroom. Also, the rooms are split between girls and guys, and also over 21 and under 21 because of the legal drinking age in the States. In the rooms for underagers there is no alcohol permitted. If alcohol is found in an apartment everyone in the apartment will be sent home.
Yes, it's that strict.

My interview was scheduled to start between 3pm and 4pm, but there was a little delay so I wasn't called in until half past 4, but that was okay, we were told to keep the entire day open. I think we were 50-60 people, and as far as I heard, everyone felt the interview went great, so that made it a little difficult to tell.
I was interviewed by Laura who was so sweet! I got several questions about previous work-experiences, what I could bring with me to Disney, why I wanted to work there etc. I was also asked what I would tell about Norway to a person or group who had no previous knowledge of my country. After all, I will be representing my country when I'm there. That is, if I get the job, of course!

I really do hope I get it, it would be so much fun! And not very many people get permission to enter the US, so living there? Of course I would! We were told we would know if we get the job in the next couple of weeks so all I can do is wait.
If I get the job, I'll probably make a blog about it, because when I applied for the job, I searched around for blogs, forums and such and it wasn't much to read. I found a blog that seemed promising, but she stopped blogging after a month in the US. There were no explanation either, but I think it could be of help to someone! Or for people back home to see how I'm doing =)

Again, sorry for the long post, haha!

Why I've been MIA - My sh*tty August

Hello everyone!

As you might have notieced I've been MIA since the middle of August. There's been several not so fun things happening which led me to have a lot of other things on my mind.

First off, on the 9th of August, my brother was in an accident. He drives a 125cc MC, and on his way to work in Oslo he crashed with a bus. He had a lot of damage and broken bones which led for him to be in put in a coma for a few hours. The same day he had two operation because of his broken jaw and femoral ( the bone in his thigh). He also had a bleeding in his brain and kidney and two broken ribs.

Here's the X-ray of his thigh. You can see it's a very bad break.

After a week at Ullevål Hospital he was transferred to Gjøvik because it wasn't so serious anymore and his life wasn't in danger anymore. Because of his broken jaw he was not able to chew, so for the past 6 weeks he's only been eating yoghurt, porridge and soups. He's lost 15 kilos in the past month and a half, and he's still not able to walk. He's using crutches, as he's been doing since the accident. At the check-up he had today he was told that he's still not fit to walk, so he's going to spend another 6-8 week on crutches. After almost a week at the Gjøvik hospital he was sent home.

Then, exactly two weeks after his accident on the 23rd I was driving to visit him when my car caught fire. I noticed some smoke and a bad smell, so I opened the hood of my VW Polo and I saw the flames. I closed the hood and ran to the closest house to get a fire extinguisher. We emptied it on the car, but it didn't work so I got my stuff which I luckily managed to save.

As you can see there's really not that much left of it.

Then on the same night, my boyfriend and I broke up, so then I had to start moving. Today it's been a month and as I'm typing this I'm also carrying things out to my car to go to my mum's. Luckily we're both still very good friends and there's not hard feelings, so it's not really been a problem living together while we've been moving things.

I hate moving, it's so much stress! But at least I have a room to go home to even though it's really small and I really don't want to move home!

Then my mum's boyfriend managed to back into another car, but that's not really something big. Then last week he went to visit his mother, and found her outside the house in pain. She'd broken her hip. Also our landlord was sent to the hospital a week ago with a really hard stomack-ache which they still don't know what is.

It's safe to say it's been a rough month! But now I'm back, and as soon as I'm all in at my mother's place and have gotten in order I'll be back to doing reviews !

Oh, and I also dyed my hair in a red copper-shade! I'm really happy with it, and I think I'll keep this color for a while!
Not the best picture, but you get the point! I used a hair dye from H&M called Red Copper =)

On a better note, though, I applied for a job in Florida at the Epcot Sentre in Walt Disney World. It would be so much fun to live and work in the US for a year! Such an experience! I had a skype interview earlier today and I think it went well, so hopefully I'll get a room at the Norwegian Pavillion!

But that was what I had to say for now! Now I'll drive my new car, a VW Golf, to my mum's and start to get my room in order =)
I'll talk to you soon!

iHerb.com Haul ft. ELF, Queen Helene, Bare Fruit and more!

Yay, I finally got my packages from iHerb today! Yes, packages, plural, hehe. BTW, everything here was purchased by me with my own money.
You can also just click the names and it will bring you to the page of the item for easy purchasing.

Here's everything I got! I did get 5 packages of the Bare Fruit Cinnamon Apple Chips, because I love them! Then, for non-beauty items I got the Walden Farms Chocolate Dip which is calorie, carb, fat, gluten and more things-free. I heard a lot of good things about it on some Norwegian forums, so yeah. Then "The Vice-Busting DIET" was a freebie. With each order from iHerb you can choose a freebie from their freebie-section.

As for the beauty-stuff I got the Sierra Bees Organic Vanilla Lipbalm as my 2nd freebie. Then I ordered the ELF Daily Moisture Sick, ELF Blush Brush, ELF Mineral Powder Brush, ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer in Clear and the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, which I've heard so much about on youtube! The Face Primer I've also used before, and I finished it so I thought I would get it another one because I liked it so much. It's pretty much just your standard silicione-based primer.

Here you can see the ELF Blush Brush campared to my ELF Complexion Brush which it's pretty much just a smaller size of. I think it will be strange to use this type of blush brush as I've been so used to the Sigma Powder/Blush Brush (F10) for my blush, but we shall see.

Then there's the ELF Mineral Powder Brush. I thought this would be a dupe of the before-mentioned F10 from Sigma, but as you can tell in the picture, it is soooo much SMALLER! On the packaging it states the small size is to make higher coverage and also allow the brush to reach hard-to-reach areas, but I was still stunned when I saw how tiny it was. The reason I wanted a dupe for my Sigma brush is because it sheds. All of my Sigma-brushes do, so I perfer my ELF ones which as supersoft! I haven't washed my new brushes yet, so I'm hoping maybe the mineral powder brush will be a little bigger and fluffier afterwards.

Those were my new things, you guys! As for the prices, the ELF Face Primer and Moisture Stick was $6, the two brushes were $3 and the Mint Julep Masque was $4.87, but it is currently on sale for $3.84. The lipbalm was a freebie, but it retails for $1.95. The DIET-book was $19.95, but again, it got it for free. The chocolate dip is $4.39, but on sale for $3.76, and it still is on sale. The chips were $2.99 and are now on sale for $2.70. I did get 5 bags of the chips, haha!

Shipping was $4 for each package, which is really affordable!

Thanks for reading guys, I really appreciate it =)
Remember to follow my blog, too, that would make my day!

You know you live on the countryside when...

... you get home and there is sheep EVERYWHERE!

Yeah, now you know how far for a city I live haha! These aren't even our sheep, I just got home from the dentist, and there they all were. I was standig about 2-3meters away from them, and I love sheep, I think they are so cute! I have grown up being neighbour with sheep, but the bells can be annoying in the long run. But I mean, look at those cute faces!

Gift wish: Yonanas Ice Cream Treat Maker

Another wish for this year! It's a machine that makes frozen bananas into a soft-serve ice cream. Since it's just frozen bananas, it's healthy; just like eating a real banana. The machine is made for making banana-ice cream (hence the name), but it can be done with other frozen fruits too, such as strawberries, mango, blueberries and so on.
Here in Norway it retails for 500NOK, but in the US you can get it for $50 at bath and body works. It's also availiable on amazon.com. For all the norwegians out there, it's availiable from komplett.no, expert.no, leifdal.no and so on. It's also avaliable in stores.

This sounds so great, and it's not really that expensive either, so I'm hoping to get this for X-mas!

Have you tried it?
What do you think?

We're moving in together! (Before Pictures)

My boyfriend and I have started moving! I'm so excited!

We aren't quite setteled in yet, but I'm hoping we will be during the weekend.
I just wanted to show you guys some pictures of our apartment before we started moving things inside, and I will make another post with before and after pictures when we're all done!

Here is our livingroom!
The reason the lamp and the thing for magazines and newspapers is there is because it was there when we moved in! Here we'll have a couch, TV, DVD/book-shelves and my boyfriend's computer-corner!

This is the kitchen. It's not really that big, but it's enough for just two people.

The bedroom! There is a mounted clothing-closed in a corner, and the matrass is going out as it's not ours.

Then there's the bathroom. It's actually quite big for an apartment this size!

Then there is this a storage-room. I'm thinking about keeping my makeup and such in here, as well as other hobby-things.

Another closet! Will probably keep suits, dresses, shirts and my "bunad" in here!
BTW: A bunad is the Norwegian National Costume!

Another storage unit in the apartment! Here we'll keep outer wear and shoes.

The other side of the second storage unit.

So yeah, that's out apartment! It's a little more stuffed right now, but I'll show you when we're done!
I'll probably film an apartment tour too, haha!

What do you think ?

Current obsessions

Lately, I've been obsessed with a few things.
I wanted to share them with you, and the first obsession is, as most of you might already know; hama beads.
I have made so much, and I'm currently working on a huge piece; Stitch.
Right now, it's taking up all my plates, and I have to buy another one today so I can finish it.
Then it will take up 9 plates (!) I can't say I look forward to ironing it though, it's always so annoying when the outer parts are done and the middle is still loose!

Anyways, since I've been doing the hama beads, of course I wanted to show them to people, and my blog about it doesn't seem to have come that far yet, so I signed in to DeviantArt so I could post my work of art there, haha
And then, I became obsessed with DeviantArt!
I love reading people's comments, see what they favourited and recieve llama badged!
It's great!

I've also had a light obsession with Tetris and Icy Tower, but it's pretty much passed now, haha

EDIT:
Totally forgot to mention the reason I wanted to do this post in the first place!
So, I've been totally obsessed with Mahjong. It's an old chinese game, kind of like memory, where you're supposed to get two and two of the same kind and try to make them all go away, but it's sometimes very hard...
I play this game both online, and I also downloaded the game from the Android Market but it's avaliable at the App Store too, I'm pretty sure.

Think that's about it at the moment!

How would the world be in 50 years?

That's the assignment we got at school today.
We were going to use Photoshop to make a picture, and this is what I have done so far:

My teacher suggested I'd put some colour in there, but I'm not sure how...
Any suggestions?

What I got for Christmas!

Hey everybody!

I wanted to share with you some of the things I got for Christmas! This isn't everything, though, I did get some t-shrits, a couple of PJs and some money, but these are like the bigger things that I got.

I got these shoes from my boyfriend, and I knew I was going to get them, and they're awesome!
I can't wait to use them, but unfortunatly they're super tall, and Norway is sooooo slippery, and there's ice everywhere so I've just gotten to wear it inside yet, but when the spring comes these will be worn in very qickly, hihi

I wanted a suitcase for traveling, and I didn't want a black one because everyone have got black, brown or red suitcases, so this purple one is great! It's not the biggest suitcase ever, but it'll be good for up to a week or so. It's super light weight to; 3.15 kilos which is barely nothing.

Then I got this set of things to keep my hama beads in.
I wanted this too, so it's great that I got it! The only dumb thing is that the big one doesn't fit in my drawer....
(btw, check out my hama-bead blog with sprites and pictures of my creations!)

Christina Aguilera Royal Desire perfume set with body lotion and shower gel.
I really like the original Christina Aguilera scent, and I used up a bottle of that a while ago, so I'm going to use this one too for sure!

I got this from my grandparents with some money taped to it, and it's a Lavender Relaxing Gift Set with a shower gel and a body lotion and a wash cloth or something in the middle.

Another relaxation kit! I think I'm too tense, haha

I wanted this book as well, and I'll be reading it when I've finished reading the Legend of the Icefolk-series, and then I have an other book I bought as well as the other book I got for Christmas.

 A young girl's last words.
Regine got blood-cancer when she was 17, in 2008. A couple months later she started a blog named "face your fear". When she died in December 2009, her blog, along with some comments and memorywords from friends and family, got published, and the resault is this book.

Technically not a Christmas presant, but I got it on the 23rd so I though I would include it.
This is my new phone, people! It's the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro HD. I had the old Mini Pro, but it broke... I loved it alot though, so I wanted this one too, a very nifty little thing with a QWERTY-keyboard and just the right size.

That's what I got for Xmas, what did you get?

We made a musicvideo!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share with you something we did at school today! It was very fun and I hope it turns out good, haha! We've been working on this for a good month now, so while all of the guys were acting and filming and directing I walked around taking pictures!
