My Current Everyday Makeup-Items

I don't quite know what to call this post, because it's not really my current makeup-items, it's more of a "what I want to use for the next while"-post. Any ideas? Please let me know!

Anyways, on to the items!

I'll start of with the lippies!
The lipliner is Maybelline ColorSensational Lipliner in 440 Fire Coral, the pink lipstick is Maybelline MNY Lipstick in the shade 802A which was limited edition with the Material Girl Collection. The lipstick is great, too, it's really smooth and creamy but also very pigmented.
The two lipglosses are from YSL. The pink one is a Pure Lip Gloss in 4, and the golden shade is a Golden Gloss in 54. Then of course, I can't live without a lipbalm, and I chose Carmex, which is what I've been using at daytime. On the bottom is a IsaDora Twist-Up Gloss Stick in 08 Romantic Red which I actually got on saturday. The same thing goes for the YSL Lipglosses.

For my eyes, I've chosen the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette, as well as a self-made little thing with a few eyeshadows in it as well. The nude/brown duo is from visions, the pink/charcoal duo is from H&M. The highlight-color is from Max Factor, and the last shade is from NYC Metro Quartet Eyeshadow Palette in Sandbar. I've used up the other shades except the purple, which is why it's not it the palette anymore.

Below that is my Gosh Serious Volume Mascara, H&M Liquid Liner; both in Black. For my primer I'll be using the ELF Eyelid Primer in sheer which is nearly finished, and the kohl-pencil is L'oreal Contour Kohl in Jet Black.

And then there's the face-items!
I have two blushes, one shimmery and one matte. The matte blush is ELF Mineral Blush in Coral, and the shimmery one is ELF Essentials Blush in Glow, but it's not the same now as it was when I got mine. You can tell I've used it alot as there's nearly nothing left in the pot, haha! I also have tgree concealers, the Missha Style Perfect Concealer and IsaDora Perfect Cover Stick for my blemishes and Garnier Anti-Dark Circles Roll-on for my undereyes. For a primer it's the only one I have at the moment; Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer. I have one BB Cream and a foundation too, if I want to change it up, and the Skin79 Diamond Collection BB Cream is a good one-step products as it has SPF in it. I chose L'oreal Matte Morphose Foundation because it's matte. I don't like a dewy face. Last things are my powder, and I have one translucent powder which is the ELF Complexion Perfection. This is now called "Tone Correction Powder" and the color I have is Cool. The other I have is my ELF Mineral Foundation in Light which is good if I just want a natural look. That too has an SPF of 15.

Here are the swatches for the palette with loose eyeshadows.
Top left is the highlighter, next to it the NYC shade. Then there's the pink/charcoal duo and the nuse/brown duo.

On the Comfort Zone palette I've done a full review which you can read HERE if you'd like to know more! Since the review was done I've actually hit pan on the browbone-shade to the left. I just noticed this morning, haha, I was so excited!

The swatches are left to right:
Maybelline Lipliner, MNY Lipstick, YSL Pure Gloss, YSL Golden Gloss, IsaDora Twist-Up Gloss Stick.
Under that is my ELF Essentials Glow blush and ELF Mineral Blush in Coral.
Then there's the two eyeliners - L'oreal Contour Kohl in Jet Black and H&M Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

I actually forgot to take pictures of the face-products, but I will add that in the morning! It's almost 3am here now, and I'm a little tired, haha! In the meantime, I just just write them down here:
L'oreal Matte Morphose Foundation
ELF Mineral Blush - Coral
ELF Essentials Blush - Glow
Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer
ELF Complexion Perfection Powder - Cool
Missha Style Perfect Concealer
Garnier Anti-Dark Circles Roll-On - Light
Skin79 Light Pink BB Cream
ELF Mineral Foundation - Light

Yeah, on we go, almost done now!

For my perfume I'll be using Escada Taj Sunset which I love! Sadly, this waws Limited Edition in 2011, so it's not avaliable anymore...

And here are all my things all neatly put away in a basket that has it's own little place on my desk.

Thank you so much for reading, I really appreciate it!

Update: Project 30 Pan

I just realized I haven't done an update here on my blog since I let you know I was doing a P30P in the beginning of May!

Anyways, here's a little update for you guys, as I'm almost done!

Here's my list of products that you also saw in my last Project 30 Pan post! As you can tell, there's a lot more checkpoints now than when I did that post.

Here's the inside of my box of Project Empties. It's pretty full, so luckily the things I have left are pretty tiny.

  1. Isadora Perfect Coverstick - Light
  2. Miners Voluptulash Mascara - Black
  3. Max Factor Kohn Pencil - Black
  4. L'oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss - Carbon Black
  5. Ulta Eye Highlighting Wand
  6. Yves Rocher Lash Plumping Mascara - Black
  7. Hema Lipgloss Shine
  8. Maybelline Kohl Express - Glamblack
  9. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipliner - Coral Fire
  10. NYC Sandbar Quad - Brown Shade

  17. Yves Rocher Eye Makeup Remover
  18. NYC Sandbar Quad - Highlighter Shade
  19. Lee Stafford Poker Straight Dry Shampoo
  20. Dove Deostick
  21. Farmasi Facial Cleanser Tonic - Rose
  22. Farmasi Facial Cleanser Gel - Lime
  23. Define Hairthickening Haircream
  24. Garnier Pure 3in1 Wash/Scrub/Mask
  25. ELF Studio Pressed Powder - Sand
  26. ELF Eyelid Primer - Sheer
  27. "Blistex" Lipbalm (refilled the container)
  28. Garnier Eye Roll-on
  29. TCW Lipgloss Palette
  30. Biotin Hairspray
All things in bold writing has been used up!

Here are the things I have left. The brown shade I've hit pan on pretty bad as you can tell. The Eyelid Primer is almost gone, and I've taken the stopper out. As for the Roll-On, I think I've ised up 2/3, but I can't really tell through the packaging.

As you can tell the concealerstick from IsaDora and Maybelline Lip Liner are almost gone as well, so I'm excited!

If Ihaven't finished all of my Project 30 Pan items within the 15th of July, I'm done as I'm going to Gran Canaria, Spain on the 17th and I want to be able to buy makeup if I see something I like! I do hope Ill be able to finish everything though, but probably not the eyeshadow.... Maybe I'll finish the Garnier Roll-On if I start to use it more than twice a day as I am now.

Thanks for reading guys!
If you have any requests, then let me know, as always =)

Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Cream
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector
L'oreal Nude Magique BB Cream
MUA BB Cream
Skin79 VIP Gold Collection Super+ BB Cream
Skin 79 BB Diamond Collection Pearl Luminous BB Cream
Skin79 BB Diamond Collection The Prestige BB Cream

I have the same BB Creams in the same places in both pictures. They were taken with the same camera and blitz right after eachother, but they still look different, so I wanted to show both.

On the left side of my forehead I'm wearing L'oreals BB Cream, but I didn't blend it all the way because that would make it way to dark. On the right side of my forehead is Garniers BB Cream. On the top of my right cheek is MUAs BB Cream, while I have the Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream on the lower part of my chin and jawline. On my chin I have the Holika Holika BB Cream and the Gold Skin79 BB cream is on my lower left cheek and jawline. On the rest of my cheek is the Light Pink BB Cream, also from Skin79.
I used the last BB Cream, the Pearl Louminous from Skin79 as a bit of a highlight on my nose and cheekbones.

I quite like all of these BB Creams, but the MUA BB Cream is by far the hardest to blend. The Aqua Petit BB Cream is a great color for me, but it is a little hard to work with on my normal skin, I think it would definetly work better on people with oily or combination skin. It does work nicely when I'm wearing a primer, but it does need a little bit of work.

The rest of the BB Creams are really good, and I do like them all for different reasons. I love the finish and texture of the L'oreal BB Cream, but it is a little too dark. I have the light-shade as I mentioned, and when I compared it to the medium it was actually more orange. I'm seariously looking into getting the fair-shade online since I like the formula so much.

Garnier's BB Cream has a very dewy finish so I have to set it with a powder, but it is good for everyday. I really want to try the oil-free version which I've heard is great, a little lighter in shade and also a lot longer lasting. A complete different formula than this. I like this too, though.

All of the Skin79 BB Creams are pretty much the same texture except the one in the silver packaging which is a luminous BB Cream with shimmer in it. You can clearly see the shimmer in the swatches above. For me it's not a good BB Cream as I don't like a shimmery face, but it is a really beautiful and natural highlighter!

As with the Overview - My Foundations-post there is a video to go with this post, and I will link it here when it's uploaded.

If you'd like a full review of any of these BB Creams then let me know and I shall do that as quickly as possible =) Thanks for reading, and remember to follow my blog!

Escada Cherry in the Air

I just can't seem to make up my mind about this perfume.

I have all the 4 recent perfumes from Escada, and I love them all, but this one I just can't decide wether I like it or not.

Here are the other Escada-perfumes I have.
Taj Sunset 100ml (LE 2011), Rockin' Rio 50ml (LE 2012)
Island Kiss 30ml (LE 2012), Sexy Grafitti 30ml (LE 2012)

The reason there were three Limited Editions in 2012 was because Escada had their 20-year anniversary. I love them all, and as you can see I've used more of Taj Sunset, both because it's been used for a year longer, and because it's the one I'm currently using. All of these smell amazing, and Taj Sunset and Rockin' Rio smell pretty simiar. With these I fell in love instantly, but that's not the case with Cherry in the Air. I do want it, but I think it might be more as a collector-thing than a "I love the smell"-thing.

The notes of Cherry in the Air are:
Top Notes: Black Cherry, Juicy Raspberry, Mandarin
Heart Notes: Gardenia Petals, Coconut Orchid, Warm Vanilla, Marshmallow
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Oak, Musk, White Suede

What do you think of  Cherry in the Air LE 2013?
Love it or hate it?

Haul - Suprisebags and sale!

Today and tomorrow, there's something here called "Gla' dager", which basically means "Happy Days" and there are alot of good deals and sales. I picked up 3 surprisebags of makeup which where 99NOK each, and also the Isadora lip-pencil thingy on the picture underneath as well as the Johm Frieda Luxurious Volume shampoo and conditioner samples.

Here's the things I got! I jumble of Chanel, YSL, Versace, ArtDeco and IsaDora!

John Frieda Samples - free

YSL Golden Lip Gloss - Shade 54 from a surprisebag.

Chanel Liquid Eye Liner - 307 OR from a surprisebag

Also ArtDeco Blusher in shade 16 from a surprisebag as well.

ArtDeco Eyeshadows from surprisebags.
Shades 97, 555, 258, 49, 327, 235 and 92.
I got two of the shades 49 and 527, so I'm planning to give those away in the future.

Shades on top - 97, 555, 258, 49
Shades on the bottom - 327, 235 and 92.

Shades on top - 97, 555, 258, 49
Shades on the bottom - 327, 235 and 92.

ArtDeco Eyeliner 22, ArtDeco Lipliner 10 and ArtDeco Blusher 16.

YSL Pure Lip Gloss 4 and YSL Golden Lip Gloss 53
IsaDora Twist-Up Gloss 08 Red Romance
Red Romance is not shimmery at all, it's just a creme-finish but it is very reflective. The reason it looks the way it does I don't know. It is also very smooth and easy to apply, I know this because I had to put it on the second I left the store! It was also the most pigmented of all the shades there was in the store. I tried the pure gloss when I opened the bag, and it's so soft and comfortable on the lips, it's not sticky at all <3

Chanel Fluid Iredescent Eyeshadow - 20 Fountain
Chanel Liquid Eye Liner - 307 Or

Those were the things I got in my surprisebags and such! Pretty much high-end stuff for the 300NOK that I payed for it, right? I think one of the YSL-glosses alone are normally 300NOK on its own. If you're wondering, btw, 300NOK is about USD50!

If you'd like a review of anything, then just let me know =)
Thanks for reading!

You know you live on the countryside when...

... you get home and there is sheep EVERYWHERE!

Yeah, now you know how far for a city I live haha! These aren't even our sheep, I just got home from the dentist, and there they all were. I was standig about 2-3meters away from them, and I love sheep, I think they are so cute! I have grown up being neighbour with sheep, but the bells can be annoying in the long run. But I mean, look at those cute faces!

Overview - My Foundations

This is part 1 of 2 parts. The next part will be Overview - My BB Creams! Look out for that, it will hopefully be posted in not too long!

Here are my foundations.
ELF Mineral Foundation - Light (0.01oz / 2.84g)
Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation - 45 Warm Almond (0.40oz / 11.5g)
L'oreal Matte Morphose Soufflé Foundation - 110 Rosy Ivory (0.68oz / 20ml)
H&M Silk Smooth Foundation - 10. Pastel Beige (1oz / 30ml)
IsaDora High Performance All-Day Foundation SPF 12 - 00 Diamond Beige (1oz / 30ml)
Maybelline SuperStay 24H SPF 19 - 010 Ivory (1oz / 30ml)

These swatches are without flash inside.

L-R
ELF Mineral Foundation
L'oreal Matte Morphose Foundation
Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation
IsaDora High Performance Foundation
Maybelline SuperStay 24H Foundation
H&M Silk Smooth Foundation

These are taken inside with a flash.

In all of these foundations I have the lightest shade avaliable where I live. You can clearly tell some of the shades (H&M) are a lot darker than some of the others. I can make these work around the year, and I wouldn't say either of these are full coverage, but I don't need it. They are all slightly buildable, and all drugstore-foundations here in Norway.

IsaDora is a Swedish brand, so I don't know if it is widely avaliable around the world, but I think you can get it online. This one is my favourite I think. It has a dewy finish when applied, but it dries down a bit. I like to wear a powder over it, but unless you have oily skin, I don't think it's really necessary. This is pretty yellow-toned which you can see in the swatches. Great thing: it has SPF. Just SPF 12, but still, it's better than nothing which is what I usually use! This is also the lightest and the best match from my skin, with the exeption of the mineral foundation.

Speaking of the mineral foundation from ELF, I wish it had more coverage. I mean, it's basically a powder with a tint to it, I don't think it covers very well at all, even if I use my ELF Powder Brush with it. I've ordered the ELF Mineral Powder Brush, so we shall see if that makes a difference, but I doubt it as it is a very fluffy brush.

L'oreal Matte Morphose foundation is great for just slapping on. As it has a mousse/soufflé-texture, I don't feel like I need to set this with a powder unless I want to, especially since it dries down matte. I quite like this, and it's very easy to apply.

Max Factor, again, is not avaliable in the US as they are not allowed to import it for some reason. This foundation is great. It is a little on the dark side for me, but it's still lighter than the H&M foundation, and I can definetly make it work. I really like this, and it glides on super smoothly!

Maybelline SuperStay24H is a foundation I haven't worn in quite a while. It's great that it has SPF, even if 19 is a really random nummber! It applies nicely, and I can't remember hating it, so it's probably okay!

Last is the H&M Silk Smooth Foundation. I love the formula and the pricepoint, but it is a little too dark, even when I'm "tan". I never get tan. It is a little sheer, though, so I can make it work, and I think the tube is near half-empty which is exciting!

Here's my face with all 6 foundations on!
On my forehead I have the H&M foundation, ELF Mineral Foundation on my nose, and the Maybelline foundation on the top of my left cheek. On the bottom of my left cheek and left part of my chin is the foundation from Max Factor. On the bottom of my right cheek and the right side of my chin is the L'oreal Matte Morphose, and lastly on the rest of my right cheek is the IsaDora foundation.

I'm doing a video to go with this post where you can see me applying the foundations. I'll post the link here when it's up!

If there are any of these you'd like a full  review on, let me know and I'll try to get it up as quickly as possible =)

Half-Faced Makeup

I've seen these posts going around the Norwegian bloggers, so I thought I would do the same thing! Here's my take on the half-faced makeup!

Here you can see the with and without makeup-sides side by side. *wow that's a lot of "side"*

Here's the without makeup!

And the with. I know, the line on my nose is a little off, but you get the point!
Quite a big difference, right?

Here are some of the products I used. I forgot my gymbag at school, and my eyemakeup was done with that, so I couldn't get a picture of those products.
ELF High Definition Powder
ELF Mineral Blush - Peachy
L'oreal Glam Bronze Duo - Brunette
MNY Maybelline Lipstick - Pink (Material Girl Collection)
Garnier BB Cream Eye Roll-On - Light
L'oreal Contour Kohl - Black
Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer
Holika Holika Aqua Jelly Petit BB Cream - #1

I challenge you all to do this post, and then let me know so I can check it out!

Lippie of the Week #2

This is a little early, as I was originally planning to have these posted in the beginning of the Week, but since I used up last weeks LOTW, I figured I'd let you know what I'll be using next week now.

This is the Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm in Shade 7. This shade is a pink colour leaning a little purple. It also has some very pretty blue and purple shimmer in it, but you can't feel it on the lips. Overall this gloss/balm is very.smooth and comfortable on the lips. I actually have a little tester-size of 7ml, which I believe came in a set with different colours my mum got.

I believe this will go within the week. I've only used it for one day, and I feel like I've used alot al ready, but it might be deceiving.

Do you like this type of post?
Would you like me to do other -of the Week posts, such as foundation, blush and others?

Just let me know =D

EDIT: Managed to loose this the day after I posted this. I had it in the evening, and when I woke up it was gone. *pooffhh*

Review - Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream

Hey guys!

With all the BB-hype going around I wanted to try a few BB-Creams from the Asian market. One of the BB-cream I picked up was the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream in shade #1. I got it off eBay which is the easiest for me. It came in a box with the foundation and a sponge that Holika Holika has decided they want to supply their buyers with.

First thing's first: the packaging.

It comes in this rather bulky, matte glass jar. You can see there's a lot of access glass at the bottom there, and this little thing is also quite heavy. This thing does contain 40ml, though, so 1/3 more than the standard 30ml foundation-packaging.

¨
The lid states the name of the BB cream. This cream is also supposed to have SPF20 in it, but it doesn't say anywhere on the bottle, just online.

Inside the lid it this little spatula which you use to scoop out the product. It is fairly simple, but can be a little messy since you have to apply it to the back of your hand, and it has a tendency to get all over your hand.

Here's a little swatch. On the left is the product right after it got off the spatula, and on the right it is slightly blended and had sit for a few minutes, allowing it to oxidize. You can tell the foundation gets a little darker, and also that it dies matte.

The matte finish was something I didn't expect for a BB-cream with the words "aqua" and "jelly" in it. But that's okay, I like my face to be matte, but accoarding to Holika Holika, this BB-Cream has "jelly texture that helps spread evenly and creates fully hydrated and shiny skin" which makes me think I might have gotten a fake one. The seller I got it from was toprated with 99.7% positive feedback, and the price seemed about right at $12.33, but I don't know. I just wanted to mention it.

When applying this BB-cream I've used three different techiniques. I've used my fingers, a beauty blender (yes, the real deal), and a flat top kabuki-like brush.

Here is my skin without anything on my face.

And here is my very freckled nose, haha.

BTW, I didn't set this with a powder in either of the pictures below. Also, all the pictures were taken with the flash on my Nikon D5100-camera.

On this picture I have applied the BB Cream with my beauty blender. I used stippeling motions and from afar it looks pretty good, right?

Same here, when applied with my ELF Studio Powder Brush. Still looks alright.

But here's the problem - when you get up close, it doesn't look right. It has streaks, it gathers in my not-so-visible lines, I mean, I'm only 19 years old, I don't have wrinkles or a lot of fine lines yet! But still, in manages to sink into pores and anywhere else it seems fit.

Here you can see the streaks on my nose.

And here too, as well as the gathering on my nose-bridge.

The first time I tried this BB Cream I applied it with the brush, and I set it with powder, because that is what I always do. It looked soooo cakey! It was horrible, but I didn't have time to take it off, so I had to do my exam in front of a sensor with a cakey face. Not cool!

I am hoping that a primer will solve my problems with this BB Cream, because that would be such an easy fix, but we'll see. So far I'm kindof torn. The colour is great on me, and I like to mix it in to other foundations that are to dark on my skintone, but on the other hand, I would like to be able to wear it on it's own.
I also like that I don't have to set it with a powder for it to be matte enough for me, but it shouldn't sink into my pores the way it does. My pores aren't even that big!

Anyway, if this works with a primer I'll be sold, but I think it's so strange because I've seen other bloggers and youtubers raving about this BB Cream, but maybe they have oily skin? Mine is definetly not oily, more normal, but can be a little shiny in the T-zone sometimes.

Anyways, I will give you an update once my primer arrives and I will be able to try that!

UPDATE: Lately I've been using this with the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer in Tone Adjusting Green and I LOVE(!) this BB Cream now! It's become my staple in my makeup bag, and I use it pretty much every day! Very much reccomended!

Have you tried it? If you love it let me know, because I'm curious!
