My DISNEY Interview - Cultural Representative of Norway

I know, I've been bad again.

But today I'm back to tell you about my interview with Disney yesterday!
I have previously told you that I have applied for a job at Disney World in Florida as a cultural representative of Norway, and yesterday I finally had my interview! I was so excited, haha!
Sorry this post is really, really long!

I came across the job on a Norwegian website called nav.no and I applied Sunday the 22nd of September. The day after I had already gotten a mail telling me to call Stephanie for a Skype interview as quickly as possible. I called that same day. On September 30th, I got an invitation for the interview in Oslo.

Okay, so I startet out really badly by going to bed the night before way to late, and then on t
+op of that I couldn't sleep when I tried. The clock was about 3.30 am when I finally fell asleep, and I woke up at 6am by my self, half an hour before my alarm clock rang. So I got up, did my makeup, got dressed and drove to the train station. My train left at 7.38am, and I was supposed to meet at the Karl Johan Best Western hote in Oslol for a presentation and interview at 9.30, so it's safe to say I had a lot of time as it was only an hour by train.

On the train I actually met a person who I went to primary and secondary school with who was also going to the interview, so that made the time go alot quicker both on the train and when we were waiting. So at 10am we finally had our presentation. There were three Disney Employees from the US there, named Jill, Laura and Micheal, and also two girls from international services named Stephanie and Emélie from France. Stephanie is my contact when it comes to Disney, and whom I've gotten all my information from.

During the presetation the positions were explained. There are three different jobs, all of which is located at the Norwegian Pavillion of the EPCOT Sentre in Walt Disney World; Merchandise, which is basically selling merchanide, Attractions, where you run the attraction and help people in and out of it in the Norwegian Pavillion and Food and Beverage which is like a Waitress/Waiter position.

I placed Merchandice 1st, Attractions 2nd and Food and Beverage last. The pay is between $7.79 and $8.75 per hour depending on your position and you pay somewhere between $85 and $105 a week in rent, depending on the size of the apartment and how many coworker you share it with. The apartments are split between 2, 4, 6 or 8 employees and there are two people in each bedroom. Also, the rooms are split between girls and guys, and also over 21 and under 21 because of the legal drinking age in the States. In the rooms for underagers there is no alcohol permitted. If alcohol is found in an apartment everyone in the apartment will be sent home.
Yes, it's that strict.

My interview was scheduled to start between 3pm and 4pm, but there was a little delay so I wasn't called in until half past 4, but that was okay, we were told to keep the entire day open. I think we were 50-60 people, and as far as I heard, everyone felt the interview went great, so that made it a little difficult to tell.
I was interviewed by Laura who was so sweet! I got several questions about previous work-experiences, what I could bring with me to Disney, why I wanted to work there etc. I was also asked what I would tell about Norway to a person or group who had no previous knowledge of my country. After all, I will be representing my country when I'm there. That is, if I get the job, of course!

I really do hope I get it, it would be so much fun! And not very many people get permission to enter the US, so living there? Of course I would! We were told we would know if we get the job in the next couple of weeks so all I can do is wait.
If I get the job, I'll probably make a blog about it, because when I applied for the job, I searched around for blogs, forums and such and it wasn't much to read. I found a blog that seemed promising, but she stopped blogging after a month in the US. There were no explanation either, but I think it could be of help to someone! Or for people back home to see how I'm doing =)

Again, sorry for the long post, haha!

Empties - Semptember 2013!

Hello guys!

Here are my empties from the month of Semptember! Really happy to see so many things here! I have a few other bits too that's soooo close to being finished, one of them being a foundation which is really exciting as I rarely finish of foundations!

In these posts I'll do a short review of the products and tell you whether I'd repurchase or not.

Anyway, let's dig in hah!

Here are all the things I've used up! Quite alot eh?

Rexona Clear Aqua Deo
I love this! I don't know why I didn't use Stick Deos before! They're so much more comfortable than a roll-on, and you don't have to wait for it to dry. I will definetly repurchase!

Define Protein Repair Conditioner
This was good, but it's a little expensive. This is about 50NOK for 250ml. The only reason I have this is because my mum got a coupon for a free bottle in the mail hah! I would repurchase if it wasn't so expensive.

PureCare Conditioner
Didn't like this. I had to use soooo much product to get any effect or soft feel to my hair. Will not repurchase this.

Wackra Facial Toner with Perfume
I used this before I went to bed, and when I woke up my face felt oily and gross. The smell is a little strong as well. I probably won't repurchase this either, maybe if I find the version with no scent.

Sensations Exfoliante Gel de Ducha (Exfoliating showergel)
I got this in Gran Ganaria to exfoliate my shoulders after I got a massive sunburn, and for my arms it worked fine, it was gentle enough to scrub sunburnt skin without hurting. When I got home and tried it on my legs it wasn't rough enough. I don't think I'll repurchase this, but it's not avaliable in Norway anyway.

Flux Mouthwash 0.2 NaF
This is what my dentist told me to use, so I guess I don't have a choice but to repurchase, hah! It's fine, and I like the squeeze-mechanism on the bottle.

Pepsodent White Now Cool Mint Toothpaste
Really like this one! Didn't taste much of a difference between this and the original, but I'd repurchase both.

OceanPotion Protective Spray Gel Oil Free SPF 15
Loved this! The continous spray of the product made it so easy to apply and reapply during the day! Really like this and these types of sunscreens in general. Would repurchase!

Sensations Toallitas Desmaquillantes (Makeup Remover Wipes)
They work fine, but they smell so strong! Won't repurchase for that reason.

Gunry Avsminkingsservietter (Makeup Remover Wipes)
These are cheap and they work fine with no strong smell, so I think I will repurchase these next time I go to Sweden!

Soft Styles Bomullspads (cottom pads)
Definelty will repurchase.

Comodynes Convenient Cosmetics Easy Peeling New Face Effect
I think these are way to rough for my face, so I use them on my legs instead, which they work fine for, but I will not repurchase these.

ELF Eyelid Primer - Sheer
Love this stuff! I've probably finished 3 or 4 tubes, and I will get it again and again and again!

Carmex Lipbalm
This was great too, the only thing I didn't like was the pot. It's so unsanitary.

L'oreal Resist & Shine Titanium Nailpolish - 735
This is so pretty! It's a black with gold shimmer in it. If I find it for a reasonable price I'll buy it again for sure!

Eucerin Complete Repair Intensive Lotion
This was very good, and the bottle of 30ml lasted for a surprisingly long time! But it's very expensive so I won't buy it as I don't have dry skin.

H&M Nailpolish - Red
This was really good! It was my go-to red nailpolish,a nd it came in a set, so I probably wont get ahold of it again. But H&M polishes are very good anyways, so I might pick up another red from them once I've used up a few of the ones I have already!

H&M Permanent Hair Color - 7/45 Copper Red
This is great! It smelled really strong, but I love the color and I have a back-up! As long as I want my red hair I'll get this!

That's it you guys! 18 items, I don't think that's too bad! And I can't wait to go out with the trash now, I just love it when I can throw empty items out, haha!

Do you like Empties-posts?

Max Factor Haul!

Hello guys!

I recently picked up a few bits from Max Factor. You all know by now that I love makeup surprisebags, so when my local perfumery had a Max Factor bag for 250NOK with a value of 1000NOK, I just had to get one! Each bag had 6 items and I picked one at random...

Here are all the items I got! I was very excited to see the Max Factor CC cream in the bag, but unfortunatley, it's in the shade 69 Medium and is too dark... I think I'm going to try it again in the summer, or maybe if I get the job at Walt Disney I might get a tan from the Florida sun! Then I got a Max Effect Mini Nailpolish in the shade 38 Purple Haze which is very pretty! I have it on my nails right now, hehe!

Here you can see the CC Cream to the left. Clearly a little too dark!
Then I got a lipstick in the shade 630 Eternal Flame which is very pretty, and a Wild Shadow Pot in the shade 60 Brazen Charcoal which is also very pretty, but I haven't gotten to try it properly!

I also got two mascaras! The top one is the Wild Mega Volume Volumising Mascara in Black. The wand seems okay, but not as good as I'd like. Also the formula is a little wet for me, so I'm going to let it dry a little and see if it works better then. The same problem I have with the second mascara, which is the Eye Brightning Tonal Black Volumising Mascara for Brown Eyes. Not a huge fan of that wand either, even though I tend to perfer plastic-wands. But I'll let it sit for a while to let the formula get drier and hopefully it'll work better then :)

That was all I got people! If you want a review of anything just let me know!

Bye guys!

My Go-To Makeup while Moving

As I said in my last post, I'm back!

And I also mentioned that I'm moving back to my mum's since my (now ex)boyfriend broke up, which means mh makeup has been packed down, so I have a little makeup tray with makeup for everday, which I will now show you, haha!

Here you can see it all! Lipsticks, eyeshadows, brushes and everything else!

Here are my makeup items. My ELF Custom Eyes palette, DIY lipstick palette, 3CE Lip Pigments, ELF blush in Peachy Keen, Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Cream, ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer in Tone Adjusting Green, Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer, L'oreal Matte Morphose Foundation, IsaDora Mascara, Oriflame Mascara and the H&M Liquid Eyeliner.

¨
Here's my ELF palette! I have 14 shades!
Ivory - Pink Ice - Truly Pink - Wisteria - Periwinkle
Golden Glow - Wheat - Mocha - Moondust - Drift Wood
Sage - Navy - Aubergine - Dusk

Mocha is a lot redder than it seems in the picture, and Moondust is darker. The blitz doesn't do them justice at all.

Then there's my little DIY Lipstick Palette with 12 lipsticks. Again, the colors aren't completely accurate, but it's close on most of the colors. You can see the numbers, so I'll list the shades with numbers!
1. NK - Very Berry, 2. Color Works - Ebony, 3. Oriflame - Wine, 4. MNY - 809A,
5. Viva la Diva - Hot Tulip (More pink and darker), 6. Viva la Diva - Vampire Red (a true red IRL)
7. Miners - Baby Pink, 8. Miners - Cinnamon, 9. S.he Makeup - Just Peachy, 10. NK - Amethyst
11. NK -Berry Plum, 12. Viva la Diva - Cream Coral

As you can see there's a good mix, and I'm going to put all of my lipsticks in these palettes. I got this on eBay for $.99 and a full lipsticks fills up one container, so it's the perfect size and really compact for 12 lipsticks! Love it!

Sigma E50, Sigma F25, Joursna (no name), Sigma E25, ELF Eyeshadow Brush
and then two random lipbrushes from a eBay brush set !

So that's the makeup I'm living with right now! Hopefully I'll have my full stash soon hehe. I just have to get in order, I hate moving and cleaning and ugh! Wish me luck, hah!

I'll see you soon :*

Why I've been MIA - My sh*tty August

Hello everyone!

As you might have notieced I've been MIA since the middle of August. There's been several not so fun things happening which led me to have a lot of other things on my mind.

First off, on the 9th of August, my brother was in an accident. He drives a 125cc MC, and on his way to work in Oslo he crashed with a bus. He had a lot of damage and broken bones which led for him to be in put in a coma for a few hours. The same day he had two operation because of his broken jaw and femoral ( the bone in his thigh). He also had a bleeding in his brain and kidney and two broken ribs.

Here's the X-ray of his thigh. You can see it's a very bad break.

After a week at Ullevål Hospital he was transferred to Gjøvik because it wasn't so serious anymore and his life wasn't in danger anymore. Because of his broken jaw he was not able to chew, so for the past 6 weeks he's only been eating yoghurt, porridge and soups. He's lost 15 kilos in the past month and a half, and he's still not able to walk. He's using crutches, as he's been doing since the accident. At the check-up he had today he was told that he's still not fit to walk, so he's going to spend another 6-8 week on crutches. After almost a week at the Gjøvik hospital he was sent home.

Then, exactly two weeks after his accident on the 23rd I was driving to visit him when my car caught fire. I noticed some smoke and a bad smell, so I opened the hood of my VW Polo and I saw the flames. I closed the hood and ran to the closest house to get a fire extinguisher. We emptied it on the car, but it didn't work so I got my stuff which I luckily managed to save.

As you can see there's really not that much left of it.

Then on the same night, my boyfriend and I broke up, so then I had to start moving. Today it's been a month and as I'm typing this I'm also carrying things out to my car to go to my mum's. Luckily we're both still very good friends and there's not hard feelings, so it's not really been a problem living together while we've been moving things.

I hate moving, it's so much stress! But at least I have a room to go home to even though it's really small and I really don't want to move home!

Then my mum's boyfriend managed to back into another car, but that's not really something big. Then last week he went to visit his mother, and found her outside the house in pain. She'd broken her hip. Also our landlord was sent to the hospital a week ago with a really hard stomack-ache which they still don't know what is.

It's safe to say it's been a rough month! But now I'm back, and as soon as I'm all in at my mother's place and have gotten in order I'll be back to doing reviews !

Oh, and I also dyed my hair in a red copper-shade! I'm really happy with it, and I think I'll keep this color for a while!
Not the best picture, but you get the point! I used a hair dye from H&M called Red Copper =)

On a better note, though, I applied for a job in Florida at the Epcot Sentre in Walt Disney World. It would be so much fun to live and work in the US for a year! Such an experience! I had a skype interview earlier today and I think it went well, so hopefully I'll get a room at the Norwegian Pavillion!

But that was what I had to say for now! Now I'll drive my new car, a VW Golf, to my mum's and start to get my room in order =)
I'll talk to you soon!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hey guys! Finally I have my internet back! It took forever, let me tell you!
I'm back from Gran Canaria, so from now on there's no pre-written posts =) I got back at around midnight between the 31st of July and the 1st of August, and I've been so taken up grocery-shopping and washing clothes that I haven't had the opportunity to do a post until now. But here it is, my haul, and it's massive, haha!

I got a lot of things from Essence because the brand is not avaliable here in Norway. Same goes from NYC even though I didn't get so many things from them.

I picked up two bases/primers, the NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer and the Essence My Base Illuminating Makeup Base. The Essence base also has a pump while the NYC primer is a regular squeeze tube. On top is the Essence I <3 Runway Highlighter. As far as I could tell it's only avalible in one color.

Review: Dark Heart Designs Loose Eyeshadows

Hello, welcome to my blog!

First off, I want to mention that these were sent to me for PR purposes.
No that that's out of the way, let's go on to the beautiful swatches! All of the swatches below are applied over my ELF Eyelid Primer. I felt like using a primer as I had to apply them from the bad with a brush.

Moshi Moshi - Charmed - Crash Love - Papa Razzi - Jadis

Wine Red - Twisted Metal - Killing Moon - Fool's Hold - Cotton Candy - Fantasy - Nymph

Dark Heart Designs is a company made by Tina which makes all the cosmetics her self by hand. All the colors are beautiful, but be aware that the colors may be slightly different from mine if you order because they are handmade. I have wo saples of Cotton Candy, and one of them is lighter than the other as you can seer in the pictures below.

On the other hand, I have two of the shade Nymph as well, and they're both the same.

Most of the eyeshadows are very pigmented, but there are a few exeptions. However those can be just as pigmented as the others over a stickier base.

I really like these eyeshadows, and I've had them for a while. The only reason they're not been used up is because they are loose which I tend to use less than my pressed eyeshadows because they are messier to work with. The fact that I have sample-baggies also makes me use them less because I don't have as much control over how much is on the brush etc.

All in all they are great eyeshadows, though!

You can buy from Dark Heart Designs on http://darkheartdesigns.storenvy.com/ and you can also check out their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/darkheartdesigns. Tell her I sent you =)
DHD sells eyeshadows, blushes, primer, lippies and more, all home made, and a lot of it is also vegan, which is great! Her eyeshadows are $5.99 and contain 1.5grams of product.
In addition to that, it's possible to buy full collections, samples and deluxe samples as well if you just want to try out a product.

Check her out guys, she really deservs it for all her hard work and good products =) There are several more I would like to try as well, so there might be more reviews for Dark Heart Designs in the future!

Thanks for reading, guys, I really apprechiate it =)

July Empties!

Here are the empties I had emptied during the two first weeks of July! Quite happy with the amount for just two weeks, and I've really come to love finishing items!

This month I finished
Patons Nail Polish Remover
My go-to nailpolish! It's really cheap and it's the best one I've tried!
Professional Touch Salon Hairspray
Really impressed I finished I hairspray, because I don't really use hairspray. Anyways, it does the job and again; it's cheap!
Dermica Intimvask
Does the job and it was on sale. If it was on sale again I would buy it because I don't like buying stuffat half price!
Clearasil Skin Perfecting Wash
The formula of this one is kind of strange, it's like a lotion. But however, it didn't break me out, but it didn't really heal my acne either as it claims to do.
H&M Silk Smooth Foundation - 10. Pastel Beige
Love the formula, but the shade is way to dark even though it's the lightest shade avaliable.
Kiss Mineral Smoothie Base Coat
I bought a bunch of these when they were like 90% off or something and I think this is the 2nd or 3rd I finished. It's an okay base coat, but it doesn't protect my nails from stains as much as I wish.
Max Factor Vibrant Curve Effect Lipgloss - Majeste
This was okay, but I probably wouldn't repurchase.
Make Up Factory Shimmer Liquid Eyeliner - 9
Very pretty but it stains badly... No repurchoso...
ELF Nail Polish - Clear
I used this as a top coat, but it's not a top coat, it's just a nailpolish that is clear. It just didn't dry quickly enough for me...
H&M Nail Polish - Paradies Pink (Yes, really, Paradies)
This was really great, I love H&M's nailpolishes!
H&M Cuticle and Nail Cream - White Blossom
Meh, nothing special, so I just used it as a hand cream instead.
Etude House Juicy Pop Tube
This is really lovely! The formula is really smooth but I'd like it to be a little more pigmented. I might get this again though!
Viva la Diva On Stage Mascara - Electric Blue Volume
I didn't really use this too much. I did get it for the blue color, but it didn't look as blue as I'd like on my lashes. It was pretty though, but I don't think I'd get it again.
SoftStyles Ansiktsservietter (Facial Cleansing Cloths)
These I've gotten many times, and I will continue to repurchase them...

Thank you so much for reading!

Review: L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream (Nude Magique BB Cream)

This is the only BB Cream L'oreal has released in Europe, but they have two in the US where they have one called Youth Code as well. This, however is the American version of the BB Cream which is known as the Nude Magique BB Cream here in the EU. The reason mine is the American is because I needed the "fair" shade which isn't avaliable here, where we can only get "light" and "medium".

In this review I will mention them both, but apart from a few differences they are actually pretty much the same.

To the left is the European packaging while the American is on the right.
You can see the European has a little more text on the front and it also seems a little longer than the American version. The American one also has a little color around the name to show what shade it is. The other shades have darker color as you can see by the pictuer below which displays the color Deep.
(Picture from L'oreal)

I think I perfer the packaging of the American kind, but that's just my preferance. It just looks a little more clean and simple. They both contain 1oz/30ml which is the regular amount for most foundations.

Here are the claims of the American BB Cream. The Eurpoean one is the same, except is has SPF 12 which I think is great.

Both the BB Creams has the same type of nozzle. I find it very easy to control and I like this.

Here are the BB creams. I find it very intresting that the American BB Cream is thicker in consitency than the European BB Cream is. I don't mind the thicker consitency but find it a little easier to apply actually as it's not running while putting it on my face.

Here you can see the huge difference in color.
American BB Cream in the shade Fair to the left and European BB Cream in Light to the right.
You can see by the color of my skin that Light is obviously too dark and orange. I can mix the two if I get a tan, but atm I haven't been able to use the Light shade on it's own. You can adjust the shade a little bit, though. As they have the so-called "Smart Capsules" which are basically beads of pigment in a white liquid you can get a lighter shade by not bursting all the beads. If you are very light handed or use a brush then it might work, but I perfer to use my hands.
Also, after trying my friend's BB Cream in medium, I found they are the exact same shade, but the Medium-shade is actually LESS orange-toned than the Light is!

I really like the formula. I don't have to set it with a powder, and it still lasts a long time on my skin. Keep in mind I have normal to combination skin though! If your skin is oily I would suggest a powder on top and a good base underneath.

I do really reccomend this BB Cream! I like it so much, and just the face that I ordered it off of ebay to get the right shade in the first place is a good indication I think.

Thank you so much for reading guys!
