First Impression: Nicka K Nail Enamel with Hardeners (Sunshine)

I just tried out the nail polish I got from NK for the first time today and I wanted to share my first impression with you guys!

This is what the bottle looks like. It contains 15ml of polish which is a very good amount. I paid $1.29 for this polish on iKateHouse.com which is incredibly cheap compared to the prices I am used to paying here in Norway!

I got the shade 099 which is called Sunshine. It's a bright yellow with some yellow and gold shimmer in it. It's really very pretty! As far as I can tell there are 97 different colors which is a lot of shade selection too!

My problem with this polish is that it streaks SO BADLY! Even with the super cheap polish I can't handle streaking polish.

Here you can see it doesn't look too bad. I managed to ruin it on my pointer finger though, but that's not the polish's fault.

On my thumb, however, it looks horrible! It is streaky, but at the same time it has kind of bubbles on it, and this is after I used both a base coat and a top coat. The topcoat made it look a lot better than it initially did, too!

Another thing I don't like is the brush. It's way to long, and as I have very wide nails the brush is way too slim. You can clearly tell by the picture of my thumb and the picture of the brush that there's a major difference.

Long story short; I wont get this again. Or actually, maybe I will, just to see if I got a bad one of is the shades with no shimmer are better.

Have you tried the Nail Enamels from Nicka K?

That was it, guys, thank you so much for reading!

What's in my Travel Makeup Bag!

This is what I have packed so far! We're leaving for two weeks in Gran Canaria next wednesday, so we've started packing a little bit. There are a few more items I might put in there but I'll mention that as we go along, hehe.

All of my makeup items are in this little netting bag. It's very small and convenient, and fits a surprising amount of stuff!

Here you can see the things that are stuffed in my bag.

Here are my faceproducts. I know; I'm bringing three concealers, but there's a reason, haha. The Missha Style Perfect concealer in the black pot is to be used alone. It is very pigmented, but also very dry so I can't use it under my eyes. On the top are my two ELF Tone Correcting Concealers. They're in the shades Rosy Beige and Ivory. I like Ivory for under my eyes and Rosy Beige for when I'm using a BB Cream as well.
Then I have my L'oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Fair and my Super+ Triple Function BB Cream. Then my Eucerin Anti-Redness moisturizer which technically isn't makeup, but it's small and might get lost in my other bag. Same goes for the ELF Daily Moisture Stick.

Then I'm bringing a bright pink lipstick which is from MNY Maybelline. It's from the Material Girl collection and the shade is 802A.The natural color is a super cheap lipstick from ELF. It's only $1 and it's in the shade Seductive which is my favourite shade from ELF! The lipliner is from Maybelline. It's a ColorSensational Lipliner in 440 Coral Fire, or at least what is left of it.
Both the lipsticks are incredibly creamy and comfortable on the lips, too.
I will probably put in a red as well because I looooove red lips!

Lip-product swatches!
MNY - ELF - Maybelline

Then there are my eye stuff! I'm bringing two Me Now Generation II Eye/Lip liners, the green one and the black one. They are really soft and cheap, I got mine off of eBay. For liquid liner I'm bringing ELF Liquid Liner which is great! It dried quickly and stays put all day long. I am actually using ELF Eyelid Primer now, but there's not much left, and I don't want to run out while I'm away, so I'm bringing the Lumene Beauty Base Eyeshadow Primer instead. It's just a skincolored primer which a slight tint to it. I am bringing a travel size mascara by IsaDora too. It's the Extra Volume Build-Up Mascara and as you can tell the plastic is still on it, haha.
Also there's a mirror and the small stray-bottle contains some DIY brush cleanser.

Here are the swatches of the eyeliners.

Thank you so much for reading guys!
There will be posts on the brushes I'm bringing and also the skincare items and such in not too long =) I will also add the additional things I'm adding to my makeup bag in a post called the same as this one, just with "Extras" added at the end.

Also, since I'll be away for two weeks I'm planning to pre-write some posts, so if there are any reviews or such you would like to be posted then let me know =)

Overview - My Fagrances! (July 2013)

It's been so long since I did my last Perfume Overview/Collection post, so here I am, doing another one for you guys! It's safe to say my collection has increased quite a bit since my last post in November 2011 I think.

I store all of my perfumes on a little glass trey. The only one not here is my current everyday-perfume as it's on my desk instead. I also want to say that I've purchased all of my perfumes myself with few exeptions, just a regular beauty blogger disclaimer, haha.

First off are all of my Escada perfumes! They are all Limited Edtions, but you can still get them on some sites such as FragranceDirect.co.uk. Left to right are:
Escada Taj Sunset (LE 2011) which is my go to perfume at the moment! This is a 100ml bottle and I got it on the tax-free when I went to Amsterdam. I love this so much, and if I ever find it again after I have used this one up, I'll definetly repurchase!
Escada Rockin Rio (LE 2012) smells pretty similar to Taj Sunset. This 50ml bottle my mum picked up for me when she went to the US after my request. It smells devine, just as Taj Sunset, but they are definetly very fruity and kind of sweet perfumes.
Escada Island Kiss (LE 2012) I picked up this in the 30ml size fall of 2012 when it was half off. It smells a little more fresh than the first two, but still sweet and a little fruity as the rest.
Escada Sexy Grafitti (LE 2012) is also super nice, and I will defiently get alot of use out of this after a while too. This too I picked up in the 50% off sale when I picked up Island Kiss.

I see myself as a little Escada LE Collection now, so even if I'm not a huge fan of the scent of Cherry in the Air I feel a little obligated to get it as I have all the other ones, haha.

Here are some random perfumes. Left to right again:
Love Generation Pink is still sold in stores. It is pretty cheap and I got this as a dupe for Taj Sunset when I couldn't afford it. It smells similar, but definetly not the same. They both smell delicious, but Escada is a little more long wearing than this. This is a 60ml bottle.
So... has the next three perfumes. It's So... Daring, So... Fab and So... In Love. I got these as a Christmas gift from a friend of mine and they're really cure 15ml bottles that came in a set. They've not been given alot of use yet, as they're not reallty summer scents I feel.
Next is a perfume oil from Fusion Perfumery which I got as a PR sample for review. It is 10ml, but as it's an oil, you only need a little bit. The fun thing about Fusion Perfumery is that you can make your own perfume, sadly for me, mine smells horrible. Like those Mosquito-sprays, usj. It is really long lasting though!
On the bottom is Vanilla Darling from Unric deVerens which is just a vanilla scent. I got this very recently, and it was really cheap even though the bottle isn't too big at only 20ml.

Then I have some more expensive perfumes... Or at least the two to the left are, haha.
First up is CK One Shock by Calvin Klein which I got for my birthday last year from my boyfriend's brother and his fiancé. It smells amazing, though I'm not sure exactly what it smells of. This is a 100ml bottle, but I think this one comes in an even bigger size!
Then there's Jean Paul Gautlier MaDame 50mlwhich is incredible. I got this on the same trip as I got Taj Sunset, but in Amsterdam as supposed to OSL Gardermoen which is my airport. This is a more sexy night fragrance, and I love it so much!
Last one is Lily from Kimmi Fragrances which is also 50ml. I got this on a cruice and it was fairly cheap as well. It smells good, and the bottle is the cutest ever!

I also have some smaller sizes.
The first two are by Calvin Klein. It's the original Eternity and Eternity Purple Orchid. I got these after my grandmother who died in 2007, and I'm not a huge fan of the scent of either of these, but they remind me of her so I don't want to throw them out.
The other two are by Versace and they're the Bright Crystal and Yellow Diamond perfumes. I'm not a huge fan of these either, but they're only 5ml, so I'm sure I'll use them up. If you've read my blog you probably saw them in a haul not too long ago.

If you'd like a full review with notes and everything of any of these perfumes just leave a comment, and I'll do that, but I'm not sure if you'd like perfume-reviews as they are a little personal depending on how the fragrance reacts with your body.

Anyways, thank you so much for reading, it means alot to me =)

Makeup for Work - All ELF Cosmetics!

Okay, so it's not all ELF, I used my other mascara because I don't currently own one from ELF, but other than thay, my eyes, lips and face are all using ELF products!

Here are all the products I used, except the mascara.

And here is the look I did! It's very simle for everyday, but still a little pop of color!

For the face I used the Tone Correction Concealer ($1) for my undereyes and any spots on my face. Then I covered the rest of my face with the regular mineral foundation with SPF 15 ($5). For my blush I used Giddy Gold ($3) and I actually decided to use a bronzer from the Blush and Bronzer duo ($3). It's just the first one, but I think it's now called St. Lucia as ELF has come out with more colors.

And here are the eyes. Just a simle purple everyday smokey eye.

First I primed my eyes with the Eyelid Primer ($1)I used the Custom Eyes in Truly Pink, Wisteria and Periwinkle which are $1 each for my eyes. I just placed Wisteria on my eyelid, Periwinkle in the outer corner and crease and then highlighted with Truly Pink. I really like the outcome! I lined my eyes with the Liquid Liner in Black ($1) and dragged a little of the Mineral Eyeshadow in Seductive ($3) which is just a matte black, along my lower lashline.
If you are wondering I used Gosh Serious Volume Mascara for my lashes.

Then for my eyebrows I used a little of the Eyebrow Lifter and Filler ($3) in the beginning of my brows and comed it out with an old mascara wand. For my eyes I used the Lipstick in Seductive ($1) with is such a pretty color!

That's the entire look! I hope you liked it, and I think I might do more ELF Looks because I have so much of their stuff! I have actually done one before which is THIS dark smokey-eye!

Yeah, that was it for now, you guys! I will talk to you later, but now I have to get to work, I start in half an hour haha =)
Thanks for reading!

Favourites - June 2013

For once, I am going to do a favourites post! There's just a few makeup bits, but I thought I would shade anyways.

My makeup items are the ELF Mineral Foundation SPF 15 in Light, ELF Mineral Blush in Coral, L'oreal Matte Morphose Souffle Foundation which I did a review of a couple of days ago (LINK), my H&M Liquid Liner which I'm happily surprised with and the Gosh Serious Volume Mascara in Black! Surprised by that one two, since it's not waterproof, but I have cried with it on and it didn't run which is really good for a non-waterproof mascara!

I also have been loving my Joursna brushes which I got off of eBay, but it's basically a short stippling brush and a round kabuki-type brush. The watch is by Regal and I got it in Sweden at half price which was awesome!

I have also had a non-makeup favourite, and I got it on tuesday, so I didn't even have it in June, but I'm adding it here anyways because I want to tell you.

It is the white shelf, and it's from EXPEDIT by IKEA. It's just a white shelf-thing with four shelfes in it. We have a black one too which we have random stuff in, but this is perfect of rmy room as my HELMER drawers which are also by IKEA are white. They are origianlly 249NOK, but I got mine used from 100NOK.

Inside I have my mother's sewing machine, oil for my boyfriend's car and my car, a thing for his electric guitar and a little set of tools, haha. In the top shelfes I have my purses which I don't use as much to the right and my stash of bodylotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a little stash to the left. I do want to get baskets for it which are called DRÖNA and they're 39NOK each and I love them in our other shelf, but they're not made in white, haha.

Anyways, enought rambling about interior, I'll see you later!
One more thing, if you'd like a review of anything, just let me know!
Thank you so much for reading =)

I placed an order with ELF + BlogLovin!

I just placed an order with ELF, so I think it's fair to say my Project Pan is officially over, haha! I have 5 items left, but three of them are good as gone, and on of the other two is an eyeshadow which I have hit pan on, so out of 30 I think I did pretty good!

Anyways, I was planning on getting a few things and adding things in and out of my basket all the time as I didn't want to go too much over the minimum spend of £25, and I think I did pretty good when I spent £12.72 after the code was applied. I was innitially thinking to get both the green and the radiant glow primer, but the second was sold out while I was gathering my things. As was one of the lipsticks, my eyebrow kit which I first got in Light, but I had to go with Ash instead, so I'm hoping it'll be alright!

I also picked up the Tone Correcting Powder in "warm" as I love the "cool" toned powder.

All I have to do now is to hope it gets here before I leave for the Canary Islands on the 17th which is exactly two weeks from now. I usually get my ELF orders within two weeks, but they are usually a little delayed when they have such huge promotions.

They were originally just having the code until 10.30 this morning, but they expended it until 1pm tomorrow, so go crazy tonight if you want to place an order =)
The code is 500713 as I mentioned in the post about the code!

I also suggest these if you're shopping ELF! These are in Liquid Lucious Lipsticks Cherry Tart and Ruby Slipper and I loved them before they ran out.

Thanks for reading, and if you'd like, you can actually like this post on facebook at the top here, so that would be cool!

Also, I've made myself a BlogLovin' Accound since Google Reader is put down.
You can follow me on bloglovin @ Chrisbeeblack Beauty, and there is a link RIGHT HERE, or you can just click the buttom down below! I would really apprechiate it, thanks ;)

Review: L'oreal Matte Morphose Soufflé Foundation

Today I am going to do a review of the Matte Morphose foundation from L'oreal! As you can see on the packaging L'oreal claims this foundation will provide a 12 hour lumious matte finish and make pres and wrinkles look smoother. First thing; isn't luminous and matte opposite finishes?

Yeah, though so. But anyway, keep on reading if you'd like to find out whether I like this or not.

The packaging looks like this. It's a glass jar with a bright pink lid and the writing on the bottom of the jar so you can store it upside down. The foundation is thick enought so that it doesn't slip and slide around the jar.

I picked shade 110 Rosy Ivory which is the lightest shade avaliable here in Norway. I am not sure how many shades there are, but I've heard from 7-12 depending on the country I believe. Another thing to note is that this foundation does not contain the usual 1oz/30ml, it's only 1/3 of the size. You do only need a little bit with each application though, so it will last you a long time.

The formula is really soft and fluffy, and it feels great on the skin! When I first got this I didn't use it too much and I wasn't a huge fan of it either, but now I'm loving it, and I've actually hit pan which is so exciting!

I perfer to apply this foundation with a brush. This is by Joursna, but it's pretty similar to the round top sigmax-brush by Sigma I think, even if I don't have that brush so I can't be a 100% certain.

Here you can see the color. It looks a teeny bit dark, but when blended out it's perfect! The formula so smooth and great, and I don't like to set this with a powder. I did when I first got it, but I've found out it's kind of hard to make this not look cakey with a powder on top. With just the foundation alone it's fantastic though! Oh, and it blends like a dream! It's just amazing, it glides on like nothing else.

Here you can see the foundation blended out. It doesn't look to dark, it just adds a little warmth to my skin which is awesome as I'm really pale. The wear is pretty good as well, it lasts very well for 6 hours, and even after 10 I can still feel the nice touch of the foundation on my face. It has medium coverage I would say, and since I have quite a bit of redness and acne it's perfect for my everyday-foundation.

I really like this foundation, and it's been my go-to for over a month now! I am not sure if I will repurchase though, as I have so many others to go throught, but I might go back to this when I'm running out of my others.

Thanks for reading guys =)
Have you tried the Matte Morphose Foundation?

Review: Etude House Juicy Pop Tube AD

Today I am doing a review on this lipgloss from Etude House which I believe is a korean brand. I got mine from a friend in Korea, so whether this is a fullsize I dont know, but its a very nice pocketsize gloss.

It comes in a little squeezy tube which makes it easy to apply. The juicy pop tube does not have to much pigment in it, so on my more pigmentet lips its pretty much looks like a clear gloss.

As for the formula, its lovely! Ita not sticky at all and feels really moisturizing and smooth. However, because its not sticky the weartime isnt great, but I dont mind reapplying my lip products anyway, so for me its not a problem. As for ingredients, shade and exact size I have no idea as the back is all in Korean.

On Imomoko.com they are sold for $5.99, but the packaging is alot different, so I think it's been changed since I got mine. Link here. I also found them on BBCreamBoutique.com with the same packaging as mine, and it leads me to believe the name of my gloss in Apricot Juice. On BBCreamBoutique the size is smaller but so is the price as $3.99, but currently on sale for $2.99.

If you hate sticky gloss with a passion.then i really reccomend this! I am not sure of the price, but as Etude House is a high street brand in.Korea I asume its a good price as well! Even though I dont wear much gloss anymore I might look at the shades.of this and get a couple more since the formula is soo great!

Thanks for.reading, guys ^^

iKateHouse Hauling ft ELF, NYX, Nicka K ++

When I found out ELF Cosmetics was avaliable at American prices on iKateHouse I just had to place an order. They only stock some items from the essentials line, but I found some other stuff I wanted too, so I placed an order on the 24th of June even though the shipping charges was a little steep. I paid $13.95 in shipping for my order of $29.02, and if I would have spent over $30 the shipping would have been even two dollars more.

I will have to say though; I'm impressed with the shipping. My parcel was shipped with USPS Standard, and it was supposed to take 10-20 days. I got mine yesteraday (29th of June), after not even a week after ordering, so it's safe to say I'm impressed.

We'll start off with the ELF-stuff!

I picked up 5 of the Custom Eyes. They had several more colors, but I had 9 of the other ones already, and now I have 14, hah!

Left to Right
Truly Pink - Wisteria - Navy - Periwinkle - Sage

I have a review on the ELF Custom Eyes which you can read here if you would like!

Then I picked up the ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance. I already have Warm Tan which is really dark for me, but this is perfect as a highlight color.

To the left is Luminance blended and to the right is it just swatched.

I also got 4 of the Clarifying Pressed Powders. I've had these before in the shade Ivory which you can see to the left. On the right is Light Beige which is the next shade up and it's surprisingly dark, but oh well. They were a dollar each.

Ivory to the left and Light Beige to the right.

I also picked up 4 Tone Correcting Concealers which I've also used before and used up. Then I had Rosy Beige and I got two more of those as well as two in the shade Ivory.

Rosy Beige to the left and Ivory to the right.

That was all the ELF items I got. They wer all $1 each, so dirt cheap! I really reccomend them all too!

Then I picked up two items from NYX. The selection was very limited, but they had several shades of these two. I got the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean, and a Pearl Mania eyeshadow in the shade Black Pearl. I also have a NYX JEP in Milk from before.

Black Bean Jumbo Eye Pencil ($3.99) - Black Peark Pearl Mania Eyeshadow ($1.99)

Then I picked some lipsticks because I don't really have any dark ones. I picked up a S.he lipstick, one from Ruby Kisses Color Design and three from Nicka K.

L-R
S.he Lipstick - Just Peachy
Ruby Kisses - Ebony
Nicka K - Amethyst
Nicka K - Very Berry
Nicka K - Berry Plum

I thought Ebony would be black, but it isn't. It has a dark red/purple sheen to it which is okay, but I was expecting it to be black. Here you can see a swatch next to NYX Black Bean which is really black.

Ebony - Black Bean

Anyways, that was what I got! I'm pretty impressed even thought the shipping is a little expensive. And just an FYI: They price shipping after value, not after weight. The site is also a little messy. If you click the "lips" section, every lip-item doesn't show which was kind of annoying, but oh well...

BTW, everything here was purchased by me and I'm not sponsored or affiliated with iKateHouse.com.

Thanks for reading guys! Let me know if you would like a review of anything here =)
